I am a free to play player in TF2 and i have not bought any games on Steam, so i can't add friends. If i buy a item in the Mann Co. Store, will i be able to add friends on Steam?

@axxmrdrd You should be able to add friends on Steam without a TF2 premium account. Whether you buy anything in the Mann Co store should have no effect on things outside of TF2.

@Ell2309 You have to buy a game on steam to be able to add friends, and since TF2 was free when i got it that doesn't count... Had another guy telling me thathe bought an item in the Mann Co. Store and was able to add friends in Steam after that. He might be trolling though. I'll have to try it i guess... Thanks for your reply.

Only thing I dislike about the store: They have no conversion on the currency. So it cost 2.49$US so the people at Valve just stuck that same number for all the currencys in the world. Meaning if you are in the UK(like you are) then it's a rip-off.

I agree, that and every few months now they're releasing new weapons you have to pay for or wait for in drops... you run out of shit to craft too. Tf2 use to be all about a balanced game format where people didn't pay to be good, where you couldn't level up to be good.now it's going down the same trashy tubes as most other "pay to win" games. If that wasn't bad enough, every weapon that's been modified since one buys it, or with Sydney Sleeper period...it's false advertisement.

just charge people if they want to buy some of the in-game money in packs like so (I'll call the in-game money "coins")

the short stop costs 300 coins you only have 240 coins so now you have to

A: earn coins (1 coin per kill in-game)

B: buy points (1$ per 10 coins)

All the gameplay changing stuff is easily craftable, and easily so, they're all a weapon and a reclaimed metal. If you've been playing for any time, you can get most of the new kit easily.

As for the store, I can see why they did it; if not, people would be selling the hats on eBay, and then they'd end up paying ludicrous sums for them.

in my opinion this update is not good because before the update you need to collect 3 or 4 refined metals to get a hat and when you recieve that hat was a good sensation but now that feeling is lost because you can buy it whenever you want. I like the trade system and the new weapons but the store sucks.

@supersilvato69 Here my 2 cents: I spent 2 and a half months collecting enough item to craft a class specific hat; the one I wanted was the soldiers. I crafted all my items knowing they come and go, but after 2 pain staking months of waiting, collecting, and crossing my fingers 4 something good, I got the soldiers stash. It was bittersweet getting the hat and seeing my backpack almost empty, but it was ironic when the store was selling the soldiers stash for $2.50.

reclaimed metal+sandman=fish(scout melee wep)

reclaimed metal+cloak and dagger=your enteranl reward(spy knife)

reclaimed metal+huntsman=the sydney sleeper(sniper rifle that covers enemy in jarate NO HEADSHOTS)

Oh people, stop crying over paying for items, Valve has been doing game-overhauls and giving them to you for free, regularly putting tf2 on sale for $10, they deserve to get some money. You can still get items randomly if $2 is way over your budget.

@turb0strid3r Unlike EA with BFH, the weapons also have downsides. I:E, the sniper kit doesn't let you kill anything except with the melee, so that's 1 thing. There's also more stuff, but I still don't agree with the "buying item" thing when I already bought the game.
