yeah, i know what u mean, few now a days bands live up to my expectations. For example QOTSA, wolfmother and Ornatos violeta (the last are portuguese but you should give it a listen)

I will, thank you. Oh, and wolfmother are terrific! Very 70s, I enjoy their music a lot. But ya know... My soul belongs to Dylan and Young, nothing even remotly resembles their work. They are poets, not entertainers.

the Hives sucked so hard x). I didnt even stay there long enough to watch within temptation cuse i hate it. I can't stand hiphop either, but the way he "raps" his different and its not completely bad. It makes the band's style stand out.

True, true. But it still annoys me, with those solos I think the band deserved a real rock n roll singer. But that's just me! I'm not into modern music, you know, it's hard for me to like that kind of contemporary music.

that's not within tempation (they played at the second day, what a crap), that's rage against the machine.

I don't like hip hop either, but the mix they did with rap and hard/rock was a big inovation.

and i liked the hives, they're a good rock band. not one of the best, but a good one.

I wa really lookin forward to see john butler, known him for a while now, but those drum and bass solos were sothing out of this world =O. I kinda liked rage against the machine too, the only problem was the crown which was too agressive, even for me and I love mosh and crowd surfing. i couldnt even enjoy the concert, I was almost in the front and i got smashed x)

You know, RATM are really good musicians, Tom Morello is a terrific guitar player! But what I can't stand is the was the vocalist sings. I don't like hiphop, I actualy can't stand it. I was in the second row, in the left, and got completely smashed also. But I like moshing, so no big deal :)

But the worst concerts of the festival were, in my opinion The Hives and Within Temptation. They were so bad, I had to leave.

oh, didn't know you were english =/. I was standig in the front since donavon started playin so I was standig for 9 hours till ben herper finished his concert x). The best ones for me were john butler trio, neil young and ben herper. the crowd for these was awsome =). can you give me the link for the encore when your friends posts it? thanks =)

John Butler was really good, it was quite a surprise! Donovan was pretty good also, he did some ass kickin' guitar solos. But nothing compares to Dylan and Young. Those two were absolutely perfect, no mistakes to add at all! What legends! I'll send you the video when he posts it :)

devias estar msmo a minha abeira, neil young acabou em grande, um dos 3 melhores concertos do festival, se tiveres filmado a cover de beatles posta tbm.

Yes, I was lucky enough to be in front row. I didn't record the encore, but a friend of mine did, he will probably post it this week.
