*grin* I know this wasn't my best, but I had a GREAT time.
I always find it amusing that the people making negative comments never understand the music and rhythm that they're hearing; they believe that there should be movement with every note. This is not so. LISTEN to the music. Also please note that I do not choreograph dances. While it has its place it does not inspire me. Show me how you dance, impromptu, and then we'll see your heart as a dancer.
If your're complaining the about the fact that this is an Egyptian Cairo style than you should know that in Egyptian style they do not make more of the veil when dancing. It is dropped very early in the dance.
Yes, I could certainly cut the dialog/introduction completely off, but I thought that would be an insult to the person announcing me as well as the Ladies who invited me to come dance at the show.
hmmm, well, just give em a call and explain that not only is it barely audible or understandable what they're saying, but it detracts from your belleydance video. I'm sure they'll understand.
Please note that I dance as the music dictates to me and realize that I can't please everyone. I free-dance and do not box myself into a particular structure. If we all did that, there would never be any energy in our dance. As for the veil, it was just for the entrance aspect; you certainly would not continue using it past the point that I already had. Based on your dictates, If you look at others' dance versions to this song, you'll dislike them as well. So sad.
If you note the comment further below, I was obviously dancing to the melody of the song. Not all songs have to be done 'fast, fast, fast'. But again, it's choice. I chose to stay within the melodic lines of the song. You may choose to dance to the faster beat of the song. (this is assuming you equate energy with 'faster'; which are two different things entirely)
I don't understand why there are so many dislikes on this video! I think it's great! Perhaps some people are just jealous?

By more energy I meant more defined, vigorous movements, not necessarily faster. Try to make of each move a statement of your personality...
