Check out kevin morris interview, lee brilleaux wanted the band to continue and, check out the lee brilleaux memorial weekend, held each year with all previous members , great to keep hearing the songs, lee was the best obviously but long may they continue i say, love um
@23yasny At last someone who speaks sense!!! No one will ever replace Lee and Robert Kane isn't trying to. The boys are keeping it live!!! And I love them for that xxx Thanks for your comment 23yasny xxx
@dogbix, have you been to see this line-up? A video taken on a tiny camera does NOT do them justice! I do hope you haven't based your opinion on this clip.
@Dewleebee Whether I have seen them or not still does not make this bunch of wannabe's Dr Feelgood of the past as there are no original members in this band I might as well go se another tribute band, they maybe a good band but why carry on calling themselves Dr Feelgood as they are not the ones who had all the success of the 70's, credit to the original members much better go see Wilko Johnson band at least they are quality musicians who are a very good band and at least 1 original Dr Feelgood
@dogbix, I agree that none of them were in the original line up but Steve Walwyn, Phil Mitchell and Kevin Morris all played with Lee Brilleaux.....does that not count for something??? Surely that is the best thumbs up anyone could get....if Lee was happy to front these three then that does it for me.
robert has invested more years than WILCO did ,the current line up have over 86 years service between them ,theyve evolved into their own band, theyre keeping THAMES DELTA BLUES alive+kikkkin azz ,not puttin it down like some of you sad MO FOs so fuck off and leave us to enjoy the ride ,.,.now pass the bourbon +cigars coz were RAWWWWWWWWKKKKKKKIN THIS JOINT ,,,...AMEN ,,,...
Robert Kane has the energy to keep the name going after leaving John Steel`s animals. He doesnt try to copy Lee,there could never be another Lee RIP he was a one off.See the guys live you wont regret it
Again I wasn't lucky enought to see the late great Lee Brilleaux.......I love the current line-up.....they are keeping the Canvey Island R'n'B sound alive......at no time have I heard Robert Kane say he was trying to be Lee so Cleverbj, get a life and appreciate these guys for what they are......bet you haven't even seen them live......my video clip does not do them justice so don't judge them on this.
You obviously don't know much dickhead, Phil Mitchell (bass) and Kevin Morris (drums) played on the original version! It was Lee Brilleaux's request that the band kept going after he died, so not only is it partly original, it's also what Lee wanted.
@andy26751 ....Hilarious..I think your a tad confused there andy...The 'Original' as you put it was recorded with Sparko and Figure...for Malpractice..I'd get your facts straight before you start calling people dickheads... :o/
@andy26751 Err, the original was the first line up, Wilko Johnson wrote it, played it, hummed it, acted it, Figure on drums, Sparko on Bass, with the great man himself singing. There were other drummers and bassists playing it before Phil Mitchell and Kevin Morris played.

Saw Doctor Feelgood at a college event a few weeks ago. and your right they are great, especially live like there. they were last on the stage, it was late and it was raining, nobody left when they came on the stage. local paper said they flew in from paris to be there. It was a great weekend.
Being too young to ever have been lucky enough to see Lee Brilleaux live, I think Robert Kane and the boys are keeping it "alive"......I never would have grown to love Dr Feelgood's music and never would have looked back to appreciate the ORIGINAL line-up. I now regularily go to Wilko Johnson's gigs which I never would have done without these four introducing me to the music. I also hunt out clips of the original line-up to understand the total Feelgood experience.

This is the real Dr Feelgood! Robert Kane is a great frontman, really reminiscent of Lee Brilleaux in the 70s.

This is not Dr. Feelgood, they're an insult to tribute bands.
There is not one original member in this line up. Fact.

@andy26751 Mitchell and Morris joined Dr Feelgood 1984. Back in the Night was recorded 10 years earlier.
