  • the ppl who usaly say usa is better or uk is better r little kids who have not a clue about true millaterry might and life.

  • british army sniper hear hear i'm an ex rock but would with any cap badge any day

  • I want to be a photograper in the RAF..

i'm looking to do a degree at a Uni to keep my options open if all fails, but more importantly so i could jump in at a higher rank.

However, being the youngest son, my Mother sees it from a different perspective and doesn't want me in a dangerous career.

What are the threats of the typical RAF photographer? - apposing to the pretty picture that recruiting offices explain.

    Thanks,

    Luke B

  • the RAF regiment are generally considered to be twats in the UK forces

  • @chris94kennedy yeah so are the RAF! rofl

  • Bunch of absolute jebends posting comments, most of you are civilians therefore have no real right to comment. Theyre all part of the british armed forces, theyre all fighting for the same cause, so stop saying one is better than the other disrespectful nob ends

  • I failed I only did 1 n 1/2 miles and was fucked but I was out drinking all last nite, I did it in 11 min and rekon I could keep that pace for another mile and half so things are lookin good wooooooo

  • Thanx guys, I'm goin there next week im out of my area at the mo but 3 miles in 24 mins doesn't seem to fast. I'm going to try it today. Once again thanx

  • I served in the Regiment i don't think some of you pongo's have got the message but you can find me at the following post code and i will show you (B45 0NE)

    PER ARDUA

  • @gooding480 m thinking of joining the raf reg i was going to go in the army but i think ima go try raf reg instead, the training seems alot more intense and more of a challenge, i want to no what the entry requirements are i no its a 3 day thing but what the website doesn't tell you is how fast you have to do the 3 mile run, as i said i was going in the army so ive only been running 1 n 1/2 miles but i was doing it in less then 10:30. any advice also would be greatly appreciated

  • @louiswarner86 should go into your local career officer i went to mine today and you need to do the 3 mile run in 24mins atleast

  • @louiswarner86 you need to do 3 miles in 24mins a recommend you go to a your local afco for more infomation

  • What is it with you guys?? Who's the enemy here we're fighting?? You are all doing a brilliant job out there and not many civvies would want to put their life on the line for that thankless task of dealing with Taliban. Focus on fighting them and not amongst yourselves. Keep up the good work and remember those who have lost their lives or been injured and the loved ones they left behind.

  • fucking shite, these fucking big timers dont have the first fucking clue what soldiering is , and anyone who thinks these pussys are elite dont know what they are on about either . shite shite shite

  • u lot bitchin 2 one another is fukin pathetic grow up - respect to all soldiers servin overseas

  • im hoping to join the reg soon

  • as am i mate, signing up in december or next summer

    good luck to you mate

  • im hoping to join in a few years time. reason being a friend of the family was an ex para and said not to join the army, you get treated like shit. and the RAF seems the best choice.

  • jsut been on a PGAC course, the accomodation torugh training is ten times better than the marines and army.

  • OMG i not seen Jules for ages i remember him at honington

  • Whilst not wanting to enter into a tete a tete with you, surely then you are at fault for allowing your friend to write under your name without justification therefore causing you ill feeling from people who do know and care? Yes, the invite is genuine.

  • fair enought that might have been misleading but your counter to the fact my friend said you just guard airfields was to invite me to your training and 'see how well i cope' , not a great retort to try and put me down instead of actually answering his point.

  • shocking, simply shocking. If you are a soldier then your obviously a private in some country regiment or the paras. Your so far up your own arse you cant see everyone working just as hard as you are. If you not a soldier then your a wana be. You probably never passed training so now your criticize everybody else. I hope that maybe one day you can see that behind image of some elements being better than other, we are all British, fighting for one cause

  • my point is raf reg say they are elite fighting unit. They are not a fighting unit they are a remf unit that guard air bases. We are all on the same same but not everyone is fighting

  • SFSG made up of Marines, Paras, and RAF Regiment. The paras hate the regiment because the paras hate everybody thats not a para. The marines dont hate the RAF Regiment, if anything marines like them. We can argue all day long and we will never agree but the fact it the RAF Reg are in SFSG just as much as the marines and paras, so they can do a lot more than 'guard air bases'

  • and you get this evidence of the relationship between marines and gash regt from where exactly

  • and you get this evidence of 'guard air bases' from where exactly? :)

  • from watching them operate. I was in sfsg for 18 months and i can tell you that the raf reg play the tinniest part you could think of. They are there because for some reason the raf seem to thinkk it is there right to make evrything tri services. Unlike for the marines and paras it is not simply another draft it is the pinicle of a gash reg gunners career. One more thing 2 weeks ago i saw the raf reg on excercies patrolling in the rain with their hoods up looking like bags of shit. Elite my hoop

  • if you were in SFSG for 18 months, you wouldn't be putting that fact on YouTube. Sound like a wana be to me

  • it can sound like wat ever you want. SFSG is not secret or elite it is a support group you tit. you wear battalion badge on your shoulder for fuck sake so i dont care who knows. It sound like to me you are a raf reg groupy. Can wait to get your mouth round one of there cocks or buy them a drink in a bar. So maybe my friend it is you that is the wanna be

  • and SFSG is elite, as are the marines, raf reg, and para

  • that is where you are completely wrong. The length of training does not put raf reg on a par with bootnecks. They have no combat experience why is that so hard for you to understand

  • @ert9243

Why do you always compare yourselves with the para's or marines, every fucker laughs at the raf reg, even the navy takes the piss out this joke outfit, stick to gate guard Incommmming lol

  • so now ur saying if u see the SAS on exercise with hoods up because its raining they look like bags of shit

  • Its a tri-service establishment, they could easily get on without the "Reg" poofing about in thier "ally" smocks and their uber cool scrim on their lids. Looking cool in their pinky WIMIK's. But RAF personel have to be used so its not like they can refuse them...

    Big timing cunts...

  • if you've never worked with them, especially 2 sqn, you dont know

  • @civicmike01 thats plain stupid. The armed forces cannot, simply will not send a unit to do a job it isnt capable of - they will get killed and get others killed. The SAS and SBS will not work alongside numptys, and 2 sqn are there on merit. Yes it is a tri-service unit but 2 sqn are there to fight, and they are doing so. You will find bootnecks and paras who have worked with them far less inclined to slag them down than they used to be.....2 sqn are doing VERY well at SFSG.

  • sorry, i posted that comment without watching this vid. after watching it, another reason you should go back to joining the engineers mate. blokes knelt and stood in the open when they are supposed to be in 'hostile' ground. not using available cover, staring at kids while you should be watching your arcs, these are not the kind of people you want watching your back?

  • So Johny, apart from falling over in the safety of your drive what do you do? After 18 yrs in the Army I am now a RAF Reg reservist and the training and within the oggies and regular Sqns is exceptional. Airfields? A non stop flight from the U.K. to Sierra Leone then parachute into hostile territory to secure landing grounds. The stand off with the Russians in Pristina? The battle of Al Waqi, heard of that? Oggies and Regulars KIA side by side, where were you? Please, we dont shout we just DO.

  • yeah you cant move for operational jumps into hostile territory at the moment.

yes airfields, KAF/ COB? i dont mind them guarding airfields just dont lie to yourselves or others

  • O.K. Jonny, they say ignorance is bliss, so you must be very happy? Here then is an open invitation to you. We have a continuation training ex soon, I have spoken with the boss and shown your 'knowledgable' comments to him. Your are therefore invited to join us for the fortnight to see how well you cope?

  • while im sure thats not true it was not me i.e. the owner of the account, who wrote those comments but it was my friend who does not have one. So your whole premise that i dont know what im talking about is massively flawed. if you want to make your point try putting forward a real argument rather than attacking the other partys integrity.

  • no mate, hats off to raf reg, they have their role. but if you really want to get amongst the action join a front line unit in the infantry or marines. you dont want other units to look at you and slag you off for hanging around airbases and not FOBs

  • STAG ON!...RAF REG... Jobs worth !

  • Mate i would say stag on your tanks...but the RTR at Honington havent even fucking got any IDIOTS

  • Honington...thats 1RTR. As my name suggests im the 2nd. Knobski.. Stag on ? Not us. What does 3km outside of camp look like because thats all you guys get to see !

  • I dont get all this negative bullshit between forces, we are all fighting together. Every 1 has a bit of banter but when you make snide comments your just a cunt! I was in the army but had an ankle problem im allowed to sign back up after a 12 month cool down period and im going RAF REG with a few mates and can't wait. GOOD ON ALL THE BOYS

  • go stag on a airfield u tossas

  • Go for basic training 24th January, cannot wait! My big brother does this and he loves it, role on 24th January!

  • what do u have to do to become a sniper

  • at 1:54-1:59 why was that sign blured out an what did it say?

  • Why are there so few universities with Air Squadrons, I'm despairing ;(

  • some unis share them. my mate went to sheffield uni and he had to travel to the manchester one, free travel though!

  • The series looks a good one highliting the jobs the Rocks do, but still showing the cameraderie that makes the Regiment revolve.

  • This is shaping up to be a good little series and raising the profile and awareness of the corps in exactly the way it needs to.

    looking forwatrd to part 3.

  • war is nothing to look forward to in my humble opinion...why should brits die to back up the actions of george bush who history will remember as a war criminal?..i wish you safety and i know that the british forces are highly trained and motivated...best of luck to ya M8

  • @sixstringpsyco the terrorist were messing with the British to so there not fighting cause of bush

  • Hopefully I can make it through PGAC and TG and have this to look forward to if I can get into II Sqn.

    :)
