This is quite possibly the best episode of Guiding Light ever aired. This scene reminds us of what is wrong with Soaps today and why Guiding Light will soon be no longer. Great suspense, three/four generations of people in a single scene and attractive (not pin-up models) people who can act. Soaps could be thriving today if they could watch scenes like this which made us love shows like Guiding Light to begin with.
One reviewer penned it as "the perfect mix of honey and cyanide". Beverly was that rare actress who had incredible preseence and made it seem so effortless..without even trying.
So sad to hear about the passing of Beverlee McKinsey (1940-2008). This clip is just one example of what a great actress she was. She will truly be missed.
I saw this when it first came out. Roger had been lying to Alex for months. Now he finally getting what he deserved. It's a shame Mindy had to get caught up in it. This was the point in time where the Alexandra character became bitter and hateful.
We all love and we miss you Beverlee McKinsee.
