It seems to me that all of the Nature Religions ring similar to the Ancient African culture and understandings...Even the Europeans have had nature religions (surely not nearly as ancient as Africa) that have the same core truths. The Shamans of the Mayans, Tribal Europeans, Africans, and every other part of the world, seem to have a taught a similar spiritual understanding...I am a very proud pegan and love my African roots. This is incredible! A completely detailed working guide through the psych of the European. She teaches and informs with absolute class and beauty, not out of hatred, but from her mastery of understanding. LOL! I remember once I had finished reading all of Amos Wilson's books I felt like there was nothin else for me to read. I was on top of the world. I was like shit I know everything now. And the lady that owned the store in Washington DC on 18th St NE asked me did I read Yurugu. I was like "Psssh I aint gotta." She basically said "Boy you betta buy that damn book." :-) And its 1 of the badest fuckin book Ive ever read.

Yurugu is one of the Greatest Books of the 20th Century! Perhaps the greatest ever written. Certainly for the African Diaspora. The only thing that even comes close is the Matrix concept. Yurugu Lifts the veil and enables Africans to see anew. After reading it one is able to see Europeans Culture as only ONE of many different possible cultural realities. Incredible Book!
