  • band o gypsys!! fuckin a man!!

  • @jroxx11211

I know what you mean. I was born in 51. I used to go the the Shrine Exposition Hall and see all the great bands for a few dollars. I recall Pink Floyd riding in on elephants. And Iron Butter Fly was a regular group there. Blue Cheer, Grateful Dead, Canned Heat and a whole lot more. A time like no other. Dancing all night under those airport strobe lights until we actually got sunburned from them with ringing ears from the loud sound. Oh ya!

  • He sounds exhausted.

  • Trippin mad hard

  • He was in a league all by himself. How wonderful to have been a part of the movement back in the sixties. Today's music doesn't do it for me like the music i grew up with...Jimmy Rocks!

  • @Surfer51 I was born on 1960 and grew up with the music of the 60s n 70s, i thank my lucky stars to have seen some of the best bands in rock n roll, zeppelin, floyd, tull, yes, sabbath, all in their prime, another 5 years and i could've seen jimi, the doors and the beatles, oh well, im glade to have seen some, todays kids have no idea what it was like back then, no cell phones, do CDs, no DVDs, no laptops, just great music pressed on vinyl n played on a record player, CLASSIC ROCK LIVES!!!

  • That Sound Is Great And Beautiful!!!

  • @CoachG1000 I agree I think Buddy was a really good drummer. I remember waiting till the day the Band of Gypsy's album came out...it was my favorite outside of Electric Lady Land. To bad they did not start out w/ Billy Cox and Buddy miles.

  • yeah you can hear right off in this song something is wrong, lyrics and all are gone. Buddy said he was mad after this show when Jimi had to walk off. What a loss of great music, makes hearing this even more special.

  • i wish i could take some crazy acid and still play this good haha

  • Viva !!

  • P.S. Sorry for the multiple posts. My post for some strange reason didn't show up immediately.

  • Q. How do you f*ck up a Jimi Hendrix concert? A. Let Buddy Miles sing.

"When I heard from Jimi in early February, he told me,“Devon hit me with some bad acid. I was out of my mind at the Garden.” Personally and musically, he had nothing but cold words for Buddy Miles. I asked what had gone wrong with the Band of Gypsys. He said sarcastically,

“Mr. Miles didn’t hear the songs the way I did."--Jimi Hendrix The Man, The Magic, The Truth

  • @electrixladyland69 - Although Buddy was definitely quite a departure from Mitch in many, many ways, I think he added something special to the mix. True, he didn't have the technical chops that Mitch had, but he layed down hard, solid, funky drums and was a fantastic singer...even if he was a bit "over the top" at times (i.e, the falsetto "strangled parrot" scat singing in "Who Knows"). I am a fan of both the Experience and BOG, and never felt as though Buddy ruined the music

  • @dmoore0079 I concur. Without Buddy, there would be no stellar Machine Gun performance recorded live as we know and love it.

  • Jimi was tripping on acid--not a victim of a nervous breakdown.

  • Rude comments in the beginning to girl fan is very unprofessional, to put it mildly. If that were my girllfriend Jimmy made those rude remarks to, I'd give him the finger. Star or not, I don't take any b.s. or disrespect from anyone.

  • @electrixladyland69 - Can I ask the question, Would you be sitting there with your yellow panties with a blood stain on them on with your legs open like her?...... you seem to be defending her position as though you can identify, just asking.

  • @Hawkexperiments This is just speculation, but I think he was just passive-aggressively expressing some resentment for the fans that always wanted him to play the hits all the time. So the Foxy Lady is really just a symbol something that he despises.

  • not a breakdown this was the beginning of the end things started happening Jimi was kidnapped jimi got arrested jimi got sick during concerts He claimed that they were trying to kill him at numerous times and finally they got him ...... now do we really think he die of an overdose ?????? listen carefully to the lyrics of who knows

  • the king of electric gitar, his gitar talks !!!!!! SUPER!!!!!!!

  • for all the people saying jimi was too fucked up to play... i gotta tell you it seems more like he just had a breakdown. if he listen to buddy hes talking like jimi was super depressed more than anything else.

  • @BurgerGrabber I gotta tell you it seems more like YOU just have a breakdown , i am sorry that you are so wrong

  • @mat2754 actually, hes not dissing jimi hes defending him. Jimi really did have a break down during this concert, he only played two songs, ending the second one abrupty and its actually said he sat down on the stage with his head in his hands, thats wer u can hear buddy miles say that its been really hard and ther trying to get it together etc. he left after that. amazing to me is even in whatever condition he was in that night he still played outstanding (however short his set was)

  • @mnew47 ok i did´nt know that, however i play gitar off my self for 35 yeahrs ,and the playing i hear on this short concert is so full off emotions ,that´s what music is emotions ,i tell you he never played better ,every time when i listening these 2 numb.i have goosebumbs ,i am sorry i don´t wonna dissing no one thanks for explaning me

  • @BurgerGrabber I'd love to be able to play like Jimi on his worst day (this show or Aarhus in september 70).

  • only wish I could play 10% of what Jimi's playing here.

  • @boxingin than start practising!

  • @PeRcpiskot I do practice but Jimi was just at another level, he was a force of nature.

  • @boxingin Correction: Jim Hendrix was a FREAK of nature.

    Electrix

  • Hey, even the greatest have an off night-except almighty God himself who is perfect.

  • impressive!

  • This is a tragic concert... Jimi is so stoned that he does'nt have a grip at all. The final & last show that the Band Of Gypsys ever did.... sad, really sad....

  • @Zappstitute yea sounds like your being hypercritical. hes just playing super chill and laid back. dont go and pity this performance cause YOU dont think its good enough.

  • amazing and beautiful.

  • where did you get this info

  • i looked on youtube for this tromani black strat. couldnt find it

  • If any of you young guys dont know too much about hendrix you can ask me there are many who are agianst me for saying he was killed but there are many who know the truth about it all

  • @blackdude57 I think it was not only the hand off god , he was poison for the usa gouverment so they help him ! it´s a shame

  • at around 21 .47 jimi hendrix stops playing saying thats wahta happens when earth fucks with space and sit down on the stage mumbling things and buddy miles talks to the public then he is led ofstage in pain 23.47

  • @blackdude57 so this is the concert where he has the infamous breakdown?

  • Comment removed

  • @cdevers100 finally someone who know he truth thanks for saying it in public there was a guy calling me stupid for saying that he believes in monnika 200% and says she is innocent but you know as much as I do Thank for saying it

  • @cdevers100 a guy named albert tromani 1965 says he has the strat check him out on youtube

  • I dont care what anyone says of this performance. It kills me every time I hear it. Jimi was definitely in a different space and time, but so am I.......

  • foxy lady sitting there with that yellow underwear stained and dirty with blood waw he was pretty stoned man

  • He was an artist caught between who his fans wanted him to remain being (a guitar god who played guitar with his teeth every night) and who he wanted to and was trying desperately to become: an artist who needed to change. True artists need to change and evolve or they die. So said his good friend and fellow artist, Joni mMitchell, in an interview.

  • Stoned crazy but still the best ever...

  • THIS WAS 28 JANUARY 1970 AND THEY WERE ALREADY TRYING TO KILL HIM WITH DRUGS AND OVERDOSING

  • HE WAS DEAD BUT HE STAYED ON EARTH FOR 8 MORE MONTHS STRUGGLING TO BE WHAT HE CAME TO BE AND FINALLY THEY KILLED HIM

  • DO I LIVE OR DO I DIE WHAT WAS HE TRYING TO SAY?????

  • THAT GUITAR IS CRYING REALLY CRYING JIMI WAS DRUGED BY HIS MANAGER SO HIS REFLEXES GOT RETARDED AND HE WAS DOING WHAT CAME OUT THE REST WENT LOST AND HE COULD NOT HELP IT HE WAS SLOWED DOWN BY THE EFFECT OF THE LSD

  • @blackdude57 His reflexes got retarded? This concert to my understanding was where he played the best solo for machine gun ever. You make it seem as though his strings were being pulled like a puppet. This man was strong willed. If anything he was separating from this physical plane willingly, so be happy he no longer has to feel the pain of human existence. I envy the dead, you should too.

  • @CzarThePlezer you are mistaking 2 shows the one you are talking about took place on the first of januari 1970 and the one im talking about is on the 28th of januari at madison square wher they had him drugged onpurpose so he would stop playing with this ,,goddamn ,, niggers as the manager called them dont mix things up just listen to jimi when he is singing who knows and you will notice he is dozed as hell he never got to play machine gun at that show he was led of stage holding his stomach

  • @AH now I know why you misplaced the show you are 23 years old there is a lot more to know about Jimi Hendrix keep on reading

  • the sync has been docterd

  • Great to hear how different he played these songs. Love these uploads man, thanks!!
