Our Lord brought me to your video because He knows how much i needed the encouragement. Have finally lost all my hearing and having a hard time accepting this new journey He has me on. Know it is for His Glory but sometimes it is still hard.
Thank you for sharing your gift of encouragement with me.
May you be Blessed and walk in His Spirit for our Saviors Glory.
doesnt matter if the signs are correct or not. its about worshiping God and giving Him you whole heart. worship is different to everyone!!!! beautiful work at conitue worshiping God
I would love to see your interpretation of "Glorious Day" by Casting Crowns. I enjoy seeing different people signing the same songs - it is such a blessing to me to see how signing varies from state to state. Thank you. :-)
There is more to sign language than just ASL. There is another community out here - those of us who start out life hearing then go deaf. The signs are beautiful. I also began learning sign in a deaf choir for a church. It's a combination of ASL and SEE and a bit of pigeon.
I love it when people want to spend time learning sign language for the Deaf. It fascinates me from observance, each individual signs "differently". I learned ASL when I was 11, back in the mid 60s, directly from Deaf kids in a state school for the deaf. I've never learned EES or any other sign language. I added few signs of my own. Someone told me it's EES. I will not apologize. I cannot help it. I have to include every word of a song. I call it an"Accent". Individualized. Amazing, isn't it?
I muted the sound today and just watched. I was so blessed. I know from another one of your videos that you have received criticism for using signs from another signer. Who doesn't? I am always looking for the best concepts. I encourage you to sign more songs in a church setting. I assure you that they are a blessing.
at my church we had a sign team i was part of it I've actually meet a couple of deaf people i love sign language I've signed a couple of songs too!!! i hope i will get to show some people someday on here:)
Being a former musician who is now going deaf, (I only have 20% left), I really enjoy music. Other than you singing SEE and not ASL, I got the feeling that this song was terribly sad from your interpertation. Just remember to interpert for a deaf person is not just signing the words. It is also expressing the emotion, feeling, tone, and other non-verbal communication. Keep signing because there are not enough people doing it. Just change a few things.
As a deaf person i can understand well the meaning of this sign language and emotion ....just as i understand the deaf feeling ....sad not all hearing person or fellow deaf share the deaf feeling ....many ignore them ...this happened to me .thank you for the person in the video and the one who upload it ,
This is not a good example for other people to copy and learn. It is not in anyway understandable for the deaf. Pls. sign conceptually correct, don't just look up a sign and put it in English word order. This is not American Sign Language. Please have an interpreter for the deaf or a real deaf person watch you before you present you rendition of any songs.
I know what I sign isn't ASL but it is SEE. I don't list it as ASL since it would be improper. I don't have anyone whom I can go to and help me with my signing. My church has no deaf who attend but they appreciate the signing as a form of worship and after all isn't it about HIM? I sign what is in my heart. I learned from the deaf in the past make the song my own. Are you deaf? Sorry if I offended you with my signing. Maybe you can be of help to me? Your comment has been very helpful. Thanx
Yes it IS all about Him, and you are doing a wonderful job being able to share your desire to worship in whatever way you feel led by the Lord. PLEASE don't let people discourage you because we do not all have access to a Deaf person to bounce ideas off. Keep up the awesome work and you can also check out some of the videos on my page that can help with some different kind of ideas. SMILE Look at all the awesome posts you have!! AMEN!
@dlab500 I am deaf, and I took no offense , i think you did good trying and as you said after all it's for the Glory of God not mortals, it is just your expression of the song and your love for christ. If a deaf person however were to join church you should get someone certified in ASL or call Frances 7th she seems to be "perfect".
i'm not perfect, but forgiven as song says i am a sinner , he is a savior.
I am learning ASL (3rd semester so far) and a lady at our church does SEE for a hard of hearing member. Do you have any sites you would recommend for Christian songs that are proper ASL. I think SEE is beautiful and my english mind is able to follow it, but I would like to find some ASL songs for church. Thank you....
My mother speaks sign languages not because she's deaf, but because her brother was. Many families who have deaf children learn sign language to communciate with them.
@moonstar54321 ,sorry you seem misunderstood me the way i ask u,actually im deaf too and i like the way the sign is signed and i understand a little becoz i never went to special school...i learned sign language by mixing among the deaf and some adult class.
sorry if u feel i was rude to u not mean to be like that ...have a blessed new year 2010..
And that's cool. She...well, I'm not sure how Mama learned it, but I think it involved the giant dictionary with pictures of hand movements in her room...
@Frances7th ok i understand this is not correct sign language and if it offends you then she is sorry but there is no need to be so rude. honestly IT IS ABOUT THE LORD!! any form of worship he accepts!!
what a beautiful translation of a heartfelt worship. I am just beginning to sign and I love seeing each person's personal language. Keep up the beautiful worship
Thank you for the nice compliment. I too marvel at the different styles. Hope you have fun learning sign as it is a beautiful language and becoming very popular. Too bad more schools do not teach is as part of the foreign language requirements. Thanks again.
This video has been such a blessing to me. I will be performing this song at an Easter Concert and your video has been so helpful to me. I also do this just for fun and do not know sign language. This seems to be a way for hearing people to see, hear and feel a song like they never have before. Thanks so much for letting God use you. Please post more in the future.
Again I am honored that someone would want to learn from me. I have taken many ideas from other sign videos on youtube. It has been very helpful. I am very private when it comes to talking with God in front of others, so this is my private way of worship in public. I wish you well and I hope you video your presentation as I would really like to see it. Good luck and Happy Easter!!
i think it's beautiful
