I'm not sure if it's done purposefully, but I sort of like the very staccato nature of her tremolo, and that the piece is slowed down a bit. Its a bit choppy sounding at times when compared to some of the expert videos, but it gives the piece a different quality than I'm used to hearing.

I know how hard this is, but the tremolo is really not as it should be. She's a far better player than I'll ever be, so believe me, I'm not just sniping. I find the rest of the performance absolutely excellent. She just doesn't have the right feel of the tremolo. It's too disjointed and not smooth as it should be. Thanks for the posting.

I will admit, hands down, this is fantastically done and beyond my level of criticism. As a matter of preference, though, the tremolo does sound awfully slow. I like the overall slow, romantic feel she has, though. In heaven I'd imagine her musicality blended with Pepe Romero's magically smooth but soulful tremolo, looped eternally. :)

I would love to take all negative comment posters back to the 1993 Pepe Romero master class in Tampa Florida when you outplayed everyone (and there were great guitarists there). You walked in a beautiful blond teen, all the players were playing there best pieces, trying to be the alpha guitarist of the week long class.

The critics are right that the technique is short of a master concert guitarist (the tempo slow and the treble too staccato) but so what? Reaching this level of playability with this song is one hell of an achievement that no doubt required countless hours of patience and practice. She plays competently. I am playing on my 1967 Harmony Stella that I bought brand new in 1967 for $29.95 so it's not what you've got it's what you do with it !!! I use strings with Segovia on the package so (what I read about Segovia and his efforts in bringing about the advent of the modern classical guitar he consulted in the development of these strings) I get a good look at his face fairly often ... and I get 2 sets for the price of one from my dealer. Spielerisch total gut - aber rein von der performance sollte da mehr rüber kommen. Es würde viel bringen die langsamen von den Schnellen Noten ab zu grenzen & das zu zweit zu spielen - dadurch bekäme das ganze Stück eine bessere Dynamik. Und die Hohen Noten würde ich mit einem leichen Reverb versehen.. die langsamen mit einem Compressor.. das hold das Lowend der Note mehr vor und wenn du dem ganzen eine Übermenschliche Note geben willst - mische die 2 Gitarren über separate Amps ;-)
