I recommend you the first album of Heroes del silencio " El mar no cesa"

who has a post- punk - pop - indie sound , with ethereal- rocker clean guitars.

The whole album is pretty enjoyable , very similar to the distintive sound of jhonny marr(guitarrist of the smiths)

Pd: The smiths sucks so hard , except the melodies of the guitarrist.

El Post Punk básicamente es un concepto de época, en los 80. Con bandas como Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxie, The Fall, Uk Decay, Damned... Influencia musical del Punk, no así la actitud, solía ser llamado 'oscura'.

El Rock Gótico es un concepto para llamar derechamente gótico a las bandas y fue en los 90', Corpus Delicti tiene ambas influencias (Post-punk, JoyDivision) y el gótico como contracultura (paganismo).

Why the negative comments about Corpus? This IS one of the best goth bands ever. Unlike the Cure they embraced the goth sound and didn't ruin it by making a bunch of insipid pop songs. Sebastian's voice blows Roberts Smith's away, and Roma's amazing on drums. There is alot more composition in Corpus Delicti's songs than the Cure's as well.
