no but I guess its that Airbus type which is most used in the United States, hence more incidents. And most crashes with the A320 has been due to pilot error. The B737 has had more incidents, but its also more widely used and over a longer period, But flying is an unforgiving trade, and lesson learned in flight safety are unfortunately often payed in blood regardless what ever the plane is called.

I'll be interested to know the flight data recorder's measurement of the deceleration G-forces. That plane was doing about 120 mph when it first touched the water. Less than 4 seconds later, it was at rest. Had the underhanging enignes not 'caught' the water like scoops (one did rip off), the landing quite possibly would have been alot smoother. All in all, a miraculous performance by Capt. Sullenberger.
