Its a shame these graphics dont compare to the ones on the PC, it does it no justice. The game developers really did an awesome job with the engine behind the game.

Love the idea and premise of a Red Dawn type fight ... but the North Korean storyline is just too bogus. South Korea would never be absorbed like that, and a united battled Korea couldn't even threaten Japan if it wanted to. The Japan part of the story line is almost laughable bad. I dunno if it's just me, but that opening scene with the execution and all was a lot less emotionally charged than I was lead to believe. Like I guess it was kind of sad and all, but it also just seemed so...forced, I guess. It might've just been that I'm watching it on YouTube, but really, not as impressive as I thought it would be (and I use impressive as in, "leaving an impression").
@AwkwardTurtlev2 It depends how you view it. I have a 3 year old nephew and the boy in the game just reminded me of him so I empathized for the boy and that's probably why it made me really sad. Also just think about all the children or their parents that die in real life everyday, in countries like Iraq shot for no reason.
You know, when I played the "no russian" scene in COD4:2 I didn't really "feel" anything when I shot the civilians in game. But the 4:03 in this is just brutal, it really made me feel something deep down, this is just wrong. Not to put into the game, I think this is the first game to do so, but emotionally.
@beafman1 well, "no russian" was too fast at the initial shooting, like trying to get a shock value (mistake, because of how shocking the rest of game is) and it's not as bad if you join in, but if you step back and watch the massacre, you'll feel a lot worse. just my opinion.

I guess it just depends on what you look for in a game, some people want cheap thrills while others want boundary pushing stories...this is definitely a scene that will immerse you in the game, but I agree it is a bit unecessary in its brutality.
Just got this today. Haven't tried the single player, but the multiplayer is incredible to say the least. I played for 90 minutes and I had more fun in that time than I did the countless days of playing Call of Duty games (CoD 4 excluded). If you are unsure about this game, I would consider renting it, trying the multiplayer, and then buying it (because you will want to).

North Korea still have an abundance of MiGs from the 50 war and only have a handfull of modern aircraft and equipment. North Korea isn't dumb to throw a nuke at a South Korea. Korea is soo freaking small the radiation could have many decades of radiation effects. Then NATO would be on their ass.

@xXLeDrewXx ---as mandatory thing after they hit the age of 18 and graduate High school. This way when a draft occurs, the South Koreans would be prepared and well-trained with a basic knowledge on how to fight.
I've been to South Korea myself and visited the DMZ. It is heavily guarded on both sides along with a huge mine field in the middle. Hypothetically speaking, IF and if the North Koreans do get passed our side of the DMZ then the South Koreans have tunnels with the only routes to the---

Love the idea and premise of a Red Dawn type fight ... but the North Korean storyline is just too bogus. South Korea would never be absorbed like that, and a united battled Korea couldn't even threaten Japan if it wanted to. The Japan part of the story line is almost laughable bad. And of course China's part. They are so scared of losing game sales in China that they neglect her inclusion which would make the story line even almost believable.

Not really moving. The game opts for shock value, rather than genuinely stirring attention. It doesn't help that the Koreans are unambiguously, irredeemably evil in the game.
It'd be more powerful if you got to know the couple in question at least a little bit, or got to meet them or knew why they were shot. If you want a genuinely horrifying scene, then you should watch Incendies.

I dunno if it's just me, but that opening scene with the execution and all was a lot less emotionally charged than I was lead to believe. Like I guess it was kind of sad and all, but it also just seemed so...forced, I guess. It might've just been that I'm watching it on YouTube, but really, not as impressive as I thought it would be (and I use impressive as in, "leaving an impression").

You know, when I played the "no russian" scene in COD4:2 I didn't really "feel" anything when I shot the civilians in game. But the 4:03 in this is just brutal, it really made me feel something deep down, this is just wrong. Not to put into the game, I think this is the first game to do so, but emotionally.

I guess it just depends on what you look for in a game, some people want cheap thrills while others want boundary pushing stories...this is definitely a scene that will immerse you in the game, but I agree it is a bit unecessary in its brutality.

Just got this today. Haven't tried the single player, but the multiplayer is incredible to say the least. I played for 90 minutes and I had more fun in that time than I did the countless days of playing Call of Duty games (CoD 4 excluded). If you are unsure about this game, I would consider renting it, trying the multiplayer, and then buying it (because you will want to).
