@SulfurAcid u cant tell what kind of diverter it is just by hearing it. i have the same car with a forge diverter valve. the sound u hear is a cold air intake... most likely from aem.

i would say absolutely go for it... I recommend revotechnik.... I have revo stage 2 on my gti, and it gets more power, and feels alot smoother, biggest thing with these though is change oil regularly, use synthetic, allow time to warm up before pounding the pavement (like 30 seconds), and let the turbo cool down before you stop the motor (about another 30 seconds to a minute) if you've been running it hard.
