  • His voice is kinda creepy

  • the only thing i see wrong on the paint job is by the jack, it's actually a piece of black electric tape. It's there to show him where the jack is. Other than that it looks pretty good, i personally wouldn't have put all that clear coat on it since Ed never did on any of the striped guitars

  • this isnt really a "making of" series. its just a "hey look at what I did when my camera was off so you dont know how to do it yourself" video. Good job though

  • I couldn't help but notice that you painted the neck pocket on this guitar. Did that create a problem with getting a proper fit between the neck and the neck pocket?

  • that is so sexy.. i want one to...

  • good, now howbout you buy an amp that will actually be listenable.

  • looks awesome

  • looks awesome!

  • Would you say this project was hard to do at all? I recently bought an unfinished guitar and I'm planning to paint it just like this one is.

  • LEGIT!

  • it looks great!

  • Where did you get the 5150 and star decals?

  • You forgot the Drop-D tuna system bro!

otherwise your such a fucking inspiration!!

i going to do this to a B.C rich body, or a Accustic guitar.

  • u forgot to chizzle the other pickup slots and you forgot the 79 penny and pick guard and the gibson sticker

  • @icerider606 he is doing the 5150 kramer guitar not the frankenstrat

  • lol one small thing.

Eddie put a piece of black electrical tape by the jack.

just thought you would like to know....

  • where did you buy neck and body, i cant find the body and neck anywhere ive wanted to make one of these forever lol

  • its a floyd rose not a fender bridge, you don't use them for a floyd rose, you string it that way or cut them off

  • dude how did you string that if the metal ball on the stings are on the headstock?!?!?

  • Schaweeet guitar,dude...nice job...I want one too! :)

  • Awesome job, you have inspired me, can you give me some links to where to get the body and neck, thank you.

  • me too lol

  • Great job!!

    Looks awesome!!

    JB

  • yo u forgot 1 thing eye screws so u can lock the strap in

  • that thing is Sick one thing is i would have put a little more black on

  • yo man that is crazy, i love it. great job keep up the good work.

  • are you selling this guitar

  • dude that paint job is nice man!

    awesome

  • eddie didn't put all those glossy coats on he sanded the body sprayed on the paint and stripes and left it thats why his paint rubbed off so easy but who cares

  • play with it ?

  • mannn i give you props,

i wanna do that soooo bad!

    great job!

  • you could have at least put the pick guard and the quarter blocking the tremolo from going back

  • um that on the frankenstein buddy not the 5150 ;)

  • yea nice try

  • you could of at least done some research about his guitars before you comment acting like a smart ass

  • @lueckefamily yea, no shit. this 1 is 1 is the later 1. wut a D/A that guy can be.

  • @Enz0man You'r just jealouse you dont have the balls to try a d.i.y of you'r own. Fuking douche. fair play to the lad, that looks brilliant. i would kill for one of them!

  • @huwalmighty im not saying it's a bad guitar, because it's excellent. I'm just saying that a true replica has every detail of the original as carefully made as possible. No i'm not jealous, and I would kill for one too. I'm just trying to point something out.

  • @Enz0man

What people are trying to tell you is that this is a replica of the 5150 guitar, NOT the frankenstein. The 5150 didn't have a pickguard or a quarter. You up to speed now?

  • @Enz0man wtf do you mean the 1971 quarter was never on the 5150

  • nice guitar. it looks good.

  • did you clear coat over the stars and spacetape?

  • Awsome! Great job. 5 stars.

  • i have a question but i dont know alot about taking guitars apart.

im thinkin about makin one of these but im wondering if i take everything apart, will it sound like crap when i put it back together? I have a relatively nice guitar and if it is a big risk, i want to know what can happen.

    Thanks and good job

  • Can you tell me how you exactly got it so glossy? Im going to do this in a day man thanks. It came out GREAT

  • well i painted with a paint gun not spray paint but i used 3 coats of a heavy acrilic laquer but u should do about 20 coats of a clear coat.

  • 20 coats? jesus... talk about sucking the resonance out of a guitar with a super thick clear....

  • once your done wet sanding its not that thick. you just use that many coat to build it up so when you wetsand it it all comes out even and there are no paint lines and it is completly smooth.

  • impressive, man.

  • DUDE!!!! HOW?? ITS PERFECT MAN!!

  • what kind of paint did you use?

  • Looks good, but can you play?

  • ya

    im making vids right now

and i was babysiting they were watching it(disney)

  • kick ass man

  • beautiful!

  • where can i get the small tape

  • a auto shop store or online

  • Hey man,Im thinkin bout tryin the 5150 next and I was wodering where in the world you found this guitar for 200 bucks.

  • Yo send me a message if u geta demo vid of u playing ur 5150.

  • great job man!!

  • what do you mean?

  • man that looks fuckin wicked! what paint did you use and how much did it cost entirely including postage?

    thanks man

  • 200 for the guitar

    and the paint was free

    tape was 10 dollers

so about 220 with shipping i am going to start making and selling all of his guitar on ebay for about 400-500 so you guys dont have to pay 25,000 dollers for one

  • good idea man, cos yours turned out excellent.

i'd totally buy one off you.. but painting it would be so fun! where would you go about getting the base model, so theres just painting to do?

  • dude fkn keep them

  • where can i find your ebay cause i desperetly want that version of the 5150.
