I love this part of the film. Ben has made up his mind and he's got PURPOSE! To sell what he can, pack up his shit, and move out to Las Vegas and drink himself to death. Say what you want about his ultimate demise, but you can't knock a man who has PURPOSE! A man with DRIVE. With a GOAL, albeit morose to some. I say....to each his own. Which reminds me of my favorite Sinatra quote.. "You die your way, and I'll die mine." -ST2

Leaving Las Vegas, so many Oscars- great movie, screenplay, actor, actress & best movie, also Oscar for Sting- Best Music Soundtrack, someone bought me the CD, and Lonely Teardrops was not even on the album, Michael McDonald-- should be at least Pissed off!! Nick Cage and Elizabeth Shue were also Brillant, that's why HE won the Oscar!! The song was perfect for the movie, why was M. McDonald left out??? Life is just Not fair.... *MM
