Dis the surf and summit thing forty years ago in Southern California, from San Diego to Gaviota (170 miles) for a month or so, but not every single day.
We also added in desert motocross and did all three many days.
Hats off to the new kids on the block and the helicopter touch sounds like you cheated, but this is 2010. (Actually that would have been nice on Mt. Palomar and in the San Bernardino Mountains)
We've surfed NZ and done the Southern Alps, great times.
