@IJUSTSUBSCRIBENOW No, when the smoke ended, thats when the boosters burned out. The main engines burn for another 6 min. to get to space with no visual exhaust.
this is the future combined to a single epic video! an average person picks out his smartphone to record a digital video of a live feed from a space shuttle launch on a 24hr news station airing on his personal screen in a commercial jet aircraft while flying past the trajectory of said space shuttle. please tell me you also uploaded this mid air!
Great footage ! I'm not sure what the extra "lights" are at the end (possibly separation of a SRB but difficult to be sure as footage is "split"). NB the main engines burn cleanly and give off very little of anything other than water vapour. Interesting to see the angle of ascent too - the shuttle needs horizontal speed as much as vertical.
NASA and the shuttle missions are without doubt the most amazing thing mankind has ever done. Wait for the results from the AMS .....
I wish I was on that flight with you, wow a once in a lifetime experience never to be repeated you lucky person thank you for sharing this and I'm really envious and very jealous.
Pilot: right side of the aircraft you see the space shuttle, left side of the aircraft you see the right side of the aircraft looking at the space shuttle @:57

Thanks guys! I don't know who disliked this but wow what idiots. This is history. If anyone know any links to articles please post them I'd like to see where it is around the world!!!
Cool stuff! I just saw this on the biggest newspaper in Norway online... Great video! A friend of mine saw it while being in Florida at the time... Ha said it was like a dream come true! :)
@cohan000 Wouldve linked it to you, but YouTube wouldnt accept a comment with a link, so youll have to fix the link yourself :p I ran it through google translate, so it's in english.
Soooo cool! Did you see the solid rocket booster separation as well, aprox. 2:30 after the launch? Wow, that thing goes up, man! Very RARE opportunity to get this sight.
As a lifetime fan of American rocketry from the X-1 to the shuttle program,I can't thank you enough for this amazing video.Great job from a very envious viewer.
Great job making this recording! Thanks for sharing it with everyone! -- Rich
@PhilistineTheArtLuvr: have no worries about this. The shuttle follows a standard trajectory to orbit. Everyone everywhere who deals with launching things to orbit knows about these things; they are not secret.
This video should be confiscated. Stop showing it. This should be top secret as it has always been. Now our enemies will know that rockets don't go up straight into space but rather curve up into it. This is very tragic. Our future has been compromised. God bless America.
Bush cancelled the shuttle program Obama didn't fund a replacement but if you think manned space flight isnt happening your crazy. We have a drone that can go in to space you cant tell me there isn't a new system or rehashed old system(Apollo) Nasa is the civilian space program but to think the military isnt sending people up independent of NASA is just stupid
I watched the launch from the Causeway. Truely awesome! Thanks for showing us what we did not get to see from the ground. The low clouds ceiling made the launch more dramatic. It was beautiful! Go Endeavour!!! You will be missed...
Let me guess, when the smoke trail ends the rocket is in space???
