  • I remember this with big nostalgia! Sad that only me was interest in this game back at those days xD

  • One of the best classics out there, excellent game.

  • how did you jumped so high at 5:45

  • The music is awesome. Cindy Lauper translates well into 8 bit glory.

  • wheres troy, that dick weed should be the final boss

  • this games are the best in all the gaming history now all the games is about graphics and that is making me sick.........i miss the time when i was 6 and i was playing this game ahhh ..............

  • I can still remember playing this game as a kid; Arcade Version.....still play it once in a while. Like Hacking the Time though. :)

  • speeddemosarchive maybe?

  • I don't think this game was released only in Japan because I have this game and I'm from Europe (Greece). Though the catridge I have this game is a '64 in 1 games catridge' which I don't think was licenced by Nintendo so maybe it wasn't officially released in other countries. Anyway, great speed run I wish I was as good as you I can barely finish the game :(

  • Este juego esta muy corto :(

  • sincho este es uno de mis mejores juegos del recuerdo

    alguien podria decirme donde bajarlo

sinch this is one of my best games of memory could someone tell me where to download

  • sincho este es uno de mis mejores juegos del recuerdo

    alguien podria decirme donde bajarlo

  • Which came first, this game or Cyndi Lauper's song?

  • @aGWARslave Nevermind, just looked it up ;P

  • genial ....me gusta mas el goonies 1 q el 2

  • I absolutely love this game... And the background music is actually very catchy!

  • i have a question, are you using an emulator? I'm tryin some and i notice the colors are different in each one. The walls of the background in your movie, for example, are kinda brownish. Looks like nestopia. Other emus show that with more red. I wonder what did it really look like on the console...

  • I have a question. What is the item you picked up in 0:48 from a money bag (without "$"symbol)? It's necessary? And the others itens as the Blue jacket?

  • this game recall my children memories~!! nice game for my children time~ =)

  • kick a mouse, grab it, stuff it with firecrackers and you have a blue and bit bloody bomb with a tail for a fuse, enjoy.

  • I can see that you are a jumpfag... Just like me ^^ keep on the good vids, bro!

  • I have really faint memories playing this on old Famiclone... omg this game has good musics

  • really missed the game...

  • Much MUCH better than it's abomination of a sequel.

  • i remember playing this game after Goonies 2 !

  • this is one game that I never bothered to play during the 80's. I like how they have the Cindy Lauper song in there lol

  • haaaa que recuerdos :( tiempos que jamas volveran :( este juego de goonies de chiquito me daba miedo porque pensaba que me iban a espantar :s una infancia q jamas volvera mmmmmmmmmmmm

  • this had to be the most boring game on NES, you get far enough you dont know what to do

  • I still had the music in my head. Unforgettable.

  • @Madeiras14 Haha same. That music will play in my head for ten minutes after I'm dead.

  • Died twice......

  • excelente juego! aguante el family

  • Jumping status: Fail @ 5:40 =(

  • i played this game b4 and i don know the game name is call goonies. Thanks

  • I had this game for NES when I was 4 or 5 years old. I never got past the first level, lol. Now I'm 25, and I think I'm gonna dust it off :).

  • one of the best movie game, even if the movie doesn't have giant mouse and the blue brothers trying to take you down, lolz!

  • I still have a pirated Famicom in a closet XD. Good times!

  • i hope this gona be realese in the virtual console

  • nice XD i used to play it alot from micro genius console, im trying to find if theres for pc :)

  • omgggggggggggg i miss my old days

  • i remember this game,i have this game in my old,a windows 95,i was so hooked...

  • So there was a Goonies 1, I always wondered about that when I was a kid. First example I can think of where the nes version (albeit a sequel) looks better than the arcade version. Nice one for the upload*****

  • I adored it

  • CLASSIC. I used to play this game all the time.

  • I wish there was a NES version. Damn those Japs.

  • i have this emulator whit this room in my nintendo DSlite

    VEEERY GOOD TIMES MY GOD!

  • I love the soundtrack.

  • wow, iiiloveeeittt (: hehe

  • Ahhhh minha infanciaaaaa....joguinho Maaaraaa esse....vou jogar hoje à noite !

  • so that's how it ended lol...man that game was bloody hard when i was a little lad..seriously got so like a maze most times.

  • theres no challenge in this. its so easy, the nes game was a pain in the butt when i was 10

  • i am kinda modern and prefer the old games. i grew up with nes

  • bad speedrun.... he died once not on purpose... srsly. 4:20

  • I recall playing this on my Commodore 64 :P

  • modern gamers would probably think that this is crap but this game was so cool back then. i still love it after more than 2o years.

  • moment 3:05 why the boy not exlode the door?

  • I never understood how to use those items that u find, like the helmet and the coat...lol

  • you don't have to use, once you get them they will start to take effect. the helmet will prevent the damage from the falling rock, the coat will help you against the fire and the pipe gas

  • Oh kool!

  • Oh the memories... I still have a working copy of this on NES.

  • @matalapaine I don't wanna offend you or anything. I just wanna tell you that this game is only available for the Famicom (Japanese version of NES with the toploader). You're probably talking about Goonies II for the NES.

  • Like hell this is only available on the Famicom. I remember playing it on my very own NES, and I never played Goonies II

  • Yep. I'm in the States and I played this on a US NES system back in the day. The video description is incorrect.

  • So is that suppose to be Andy at the end and Mikey is the lead dude who saves her?

  • how would you go about finding this game?

  • @retepwiers47 Well, if you still have an original NES that still works, you may try E-Bay. Other then that, just wait to download it on to your Wii.

    Best of luck.

  • this needs a remake....... but the concept of kickng rats to get bombs should be edittd a bit

  • ahhh memorissssss :)

  • eurk... i prefer LARGEMENT the c64 version.... it is a bad remake of mario, no?

  • I played this game when I was 5 and I beated it 3 times!

And I still lika that man I blue, he's funny when he is kicked =))

  • Brings back memories.... Thanks for uploading! I love this game!

  • @brianianday where can i buy it

  • I remember Goonies II, but I never knew what I was supposed to be doing or where I was supposed to go.

  • this game I meant...

  • damn this game brought back soo much good memories...ages ago when I used to play this song..I still got the music from the 1st stage stucked in my head 10 years later...haha

  • Oh yeah, the arcade era in the 80's! When dropping a quarter was worth something and hanging out at the local arcade joint was thee social gathering for gamers!! I missed those awesome dark days!!!

  • @grenfuz It's a shame kids today will never know those simple pleasures of an arcade/food court or a roller skating rink like the ones we had. The 80's was the best time to grow up, I'm still in love with Labyrinth, Legend, and the Dark Crystal; movies that would frighten today's soft youth. It's nice to hear that others long for the same 80's nostalgia! Cheers!

  • I knew it was a movie but I didn't knew it was a game too

  • the wonders of youtube. haha, thanks for posting. :)

  • I played this game and im from europe. Fucking hard to figure out.

  • nice run

i've managed to dash through part 2 in a bout half an hour

  • Exactly what part of the movie were they chased by giant mice and the blues brothers?

  • IDK about the giant mice but I think the "blues brothers" were supposed to be the Fratellis

  • Why in the name of God did Konami make a game based on the Goonies anyway?

I doubt the movie was all that popular in Japan.

  • I guess they made it for the money. I remember this and Super Mario Bros. one being the two best looking and funnest games in our local arcade. Of course, that was back in the 80s. This game was one of the very few movie to videogame titles that was worth playing. Sure, it wasn't all that accurate to the film, but it was a blast to play!

  • tecmo was bootleg still good games though

  • my neighbor had this game in america on nes

  • Must have been a bootleg or reproduction cart, becuase it never had a official release for the nes.

  • thats bullshit i owned this game it was released in the united states get your information right dumbass...the movie was licensed and owned in america...why would it only be released in japan and not america?

  • Goonies 2 is what I have for the NES. I think there is an arcade version of this game though it was never released in the U.S.

  • Actually, Goonies 1 was a Japan-only NES game, yet got an American release on the Playchoice10-Arcade System.

Also, if anyone's curious, Mikey also makes an appearance as a playable character in Wai Wai World, a crossover Konami game for the Famicom, which was release not long after this.

  • where the @^%@ can u buy this one at i only have goonies 2 i want this one im a old video game colectier

  • hahahahha omg long time, i miss this game

  • where can I get this nowadays? :|

  • ebay

  • Emulater + Rom = 30 minutes of fun.

  • I had this game on Nintendo back in the day, it was'nt only available in Japan.

  • There was an actual arcade version of this game(NOT THE PLAYCHOICE CRAP). It was called VS. Goonies.

  • The only thing we serve around here is tounge! You kids like tounge!??

  • So you're running around kicking mice to get bombs to blow up doors and get keys, kids, and random articles of clothing?

    COOOOL!

  • I'm from Uruguay and back there we had the famicon and all the Japanese games, I always wonder why people say "This game was released only in Japan" when it's clearly that the game was released in other countries as well...still, this was a fun game back then.

  • this game is sooo hard, i tried went very deep, but died and never finished the game

  • yes!classic! btw i wanna ask what the diamonds are for coz i played the game a few times before and i don't know what it's for.. even the items(rocket etc,,,)

  • Hi! I think with enough diamonds you can increase your life or something :)

  • nice music

  • ? really i think there is only 4 or 5 tracks in the whole game.

    it will become uncool

  • The part with the octopus was really scary !

  • i think he missed the earphones in the first level

  • oh my WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's been a very longgggggggggggggggggggg time since i did not see this game!!! I was just a kid of maybe 5 or 6 years old when i used to play this game!! i luved it so much!!!!

  • I always wondered why I had only played goonies II. And I always wondered why there was a mermaid in it.

  • what should i say...lol it was only released in japan XD

  • Thanks for the memories. I finished this game many times over. It may seem primitive now but this is one of the first games I've played that allowed me to return to a previous area. 5 stars.

  • Is this like the Goonies movies?

  • best music ever!

  • what the heck is going on? strange game.

  • hey give that guy a mustache and he pretty much looks like a dude I know, with the red cap and red and blue suit and all. I'm thinking about pepsiman of course.

  • This one was only in the Arcade. There was a true to movie version of The Goonies for the Atari 800XL. I always treat that one as Goonies 1.

  • surprising how similar it is to Goonies II

  • wow im gunna have to find this game! i have only goonies 2

  • you're really bad for a speed run guy

  • Wow, thats nice of you to say >.>

  • I know. Your speed-run is way better than his. OOPS!

    Fuck you.

  • Touchy touchy, all I meant was that when most people do speed runs they do more than memorize the correct path, but they get good at them game to the point where they don't make so many time-consuming mistakes (includes the million times you kicked and still got hit by the mouse).

  • we only got goonies 2 in uk aswell...well at least to my knowledge

  • best movie to game music ever

  • Too bad it was never released in North America.

We got Goonies 2 but not the first one.

Personally I liked the C64 game better.

  • It doesn't have the ending because of the YouTube's time limit; this condition sucks!

  • they are playing the Cyndi Lauper song through the whole game- Good Love, for me its good enough, it good enough for meEEEE, ah yai yai yai yai yai yai!!!

  • You know I'm getting old when I'd rather see people speed run through games rather than me actually playing them- that statement fits me exactly!

  • the good anough....great music of Cyndi Lauper....

  • It sounds like a cell phone ring when your low on energy.

  • but the worst thing i ever done, i mixed my father's fake puke at home and then i went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony, and then i made a noise like this. *vomits* and then i dumped it overside onto all the audiences and then(this was horrible)all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. i never felt so bad in my entire life.

  • One time I pushed my sister down the stairs and blamed it on the dog.

  • in 3rd grade i cheated on my history exam, in 4th grade i stole my uncle's toupee and i glued it on my face when i played moses in my hebrew school play, in 5th grade i knocked my sister down the stairs and i blamed it on the dog. and then my mom sent me to a summer camp for fat kids, and then once during lunch i got nuts and i piged out and they kicked me out.

  • Looks like a great NES game.

  • Awesome!!!! i was 8/9 when i uwed to play it, love it^^

  • i rememba playing this lol

  • this is like mario.

  • HOLLY FUCK! The Goonies? What memos from early 90 till 1995 ...

  • i never passe the second f*cking stage and you.... you finish the game in 9 min !!! ahahahahaaahaahahha

  • hahah me too im stuck at 2nd stage lol on c64

  • Goonies 1 was only released in Japan. I remember in the 80's wondering why the video game was called Goonies 2 and there was no Goonies 1. The general consensus back then was that the game was called Goonies2because the movie was Goonies and the game was supposed to be a sequel to the movie. Then I heard that there really was a Goonies 1 game but it was only released in Japan. Kind of like how The Lost Levels was known as Super Mario 2 in Japan and the U.S. Super Mario2 is really Doki Doki Panic

  • actually, there was an arcade version of Goonies I in the US in very limited release. I think we're better off without this game though.

  • THIS WAS MY FAVORITE GAME WHEN I WAS 3 :D

  • omg lol i only thought there was a movie not a game xD

  • the 1980 games are the best this 1 was made in 1995 the goonies 2 game was made in 1987

  • グーニーズ久々にやりてーなぁ。早くWiiで配信してほしーし、PSPでリメイク版出してほしーし。

  • OMG that was ma bros fav game

  • OMG the wee tune is Cyndi Laupers' song!!!!!!!

  • too cool

  • I have this game on one of those bootleg systems where ther is like 80 games on one cartridge.

  • WTH!? looks like Mario

  • the atari 800 version was loads better. 23 years ago

  • Wow...that ending was an anticlimax.

  • You know that this game was released only in Japan? Konami must have been on Crystal Meth when they decided to import part 2 to America instead of both--What were they thinking....?!

  • There was a Goonies 1 for NES. I have it. Mickey uses a yo-yo for weapon. One of the Frateles shot a 3-way bow and arrow. It was wayyyy different than this version.

  • THAT WAS GOONIES 2

  • EXCUSE ME.

  • i thought this was known as goonies II as well because thats the one I had. maybe different country.

  • it`s nothing like the movie!(because i don t remember much of it.probally that mohawk piraets all.

  • @999manman that was hook

  • dis is fer real?

  • A game based on the movie. That's cool

  • i never finish this game..one of the bests

  • i dont finish it either, i loved it, and the music too, i was a young boy thats why i never end it

  • God the music just makes me so crazy horny.

  • i love this games & music!

  • You got that right!

  • Goonies II game has better version of the first song ^^

  • Hey you guuuuuuys!.... XD

  • wtf? there was a 1??? there was only a 2?? , but does bring back memories

  • I remember I could never complete this and I had to ring up Nintendo's games helpline!
