The federal government says states dont have the right to enforce immigration. States are also dependent on the federal government for funds. That is not a republic that our founders would have invisioned. And WW2 was 70 years ago and was a completely different conflict than what is going on now.

The reason we dont have a draft is so the confused and desperate will join up and the rest of Americans wont really care because we wont get drafted. What I mean by that comment was, before putting your life in danger and being involved in a serious thing like war, it would be smart to educate yourself as much as possible before that. It is well known that many troops are not deeply educated. They are well trained and have good character but they usually dont understand global politics upon their enlistment.
@cmen92 There is a reason the poor and prideful enlist most in our armed forces. Sometimes they need money, sometimes they need an emotional need, or sometimes they grow up in a military family. But you will notice that not many people with PHDs enlist in infantry or cavalry units. There are things soldiers know that I dont and there are thing I know that soldiers dont. But a good choice requires proper knowledge. I just want the troops to know what is going on and make their choice then.

In the Army for most of that, and now serving as forward as they'll let me, where I can be of most use. The medics I work with have amazing academic backgrounds. I know infantry officers and NCO's with PhD's. The troops study like hell when they can. We're uneducated hicks! I'd really like to meet you someday!

But I said they should do more critical thinking and studying of history before signing something that could endanger their lives. It has been a puppet regime of other conquerors or in civil war throughout 95% of its history. The Taliban are made up of but one tribal group with the support of outsiders from Iran, Saudis, Chechnya, etc. Pick up a history book and then comment.

@mannyarmy01 Canadians were the ones who performed most of the hard tasks. Monte-Casino was ready to surrender to the Canadians before the US decided to send in men and claim it an American victory. The US contribution was massive due to the amount of men and war materials. Canadians did most of the hard work on the Western front. There is a reason Netherlands doesn't give flowers to the US.

I dont believe what the government tells me, I believe what I have seen and what friends of mine have seen. I have also seen the tens of thousands of Afghans that were tortured, beaten and utterly impoverished due to the Taliban and their foreign Al Qaeda officers. The federal government says states dont have the right to enforce immigration. States are also dependent on the federal government for funds. That is not a republic that our founders would have invisioned. And WW2 was 70 years ago and was a completely different conflict than what is going on now.

It is well known that many troops are not deeply educated. They are well trained and have good character but they usually dont understand global politics upon their enlistment.

@cmen92 There is a reason the poor and prideful enlist most in our armed forces. Sometimes they need money, sometimes they need an emotional need, or sometimes they grow up in a military family. But you will notice that not many people with PHDs enlist in infantry or cavalry units. There are things soldiers know that I dont and there are thing I know that soldiers dont. But a good choice requires proper knowledge. I just want the troops to know what is going on and make their choice then.

In the Army for most of that, and now serving as forward as they'll let me, where I can be of most use. The medics I work with have amazing academic backgrounds. I know infantry officers and NCO's with PhD's. The troops study like hell when they can. We're uneducated hicks! I'd really like to meet you someday!

In fact the Taliban were seen as liberators prior to chopping peoples hands and heads off in public soccer games. It has been a puppet regime of other conquerors or in civil war throughout 95% of its history. @BUMgravy100 Dude Russia invaded Germany us mainly liberated half of Europe and half of France off Nazi control Canada provided minimal support if it was not for the us Nazis would of won the war simple as that and Russia was with axis power till Hitler attempted and attack on Russia and failed but by then the us was involved and Russia then switched sides to Allys the actual turning tydeof the war was nothing else except when us got involved otherwise they would off lost

The Netherlands gives flowers to Canada who liberated the country from Nazi control, not the US. France gave a portion of their country to Canada because of the soldiers who took Vimy Ridge in WW1.
You shame all of the American Vets who faught and died alongside Canadian soldiers. True patriots never put down their allies who died for them.

@icantafford okay sure but it was not canada that brought the turning tide to the war dude like i said some support here and there but us pushed back the germans from france and they were 50 miles away from the main capital and us were the first to stop german advancement in france and africa tied in with england i give my respect to all that died but my point was to prove that canada did not play a big key roll

@mannyarmy01 Canadians were the ones who performed most of the hard tasks. Monte-Casino was ready to surrender to the Canadians before the US decided to send in men and claim it an American victory. The US contribution was massive due to the amount of men and war materials. Canadians did most of the hard work on the Western front. There is a reason Netherlands doesn't give flowers to the US.
