I eventually beat it by taking out the yellow Lassiter's tires. They will still be flat when you finish inside :) I never did beat it by going along with the car chase. But if you're just really ambitious, go ahead and chase the dude. I got tired of busting my ass up the hill and through the tunnel in that crappy car they give you. Another minor thing: if you'd like to save ammo before you enter the house, don't shoot the dog. Just climb up on the boxes when he's turned the other way.

ah dont worry about it. I didnt have problems in this part, but there is one mission where you gotta steal a race car, sabotage it and return it to its garage in a certain time. I didnt play the game for like 3 weeks because i couldnt finish the job in time :)

I'm not sure if it's just the PC version, but there are some real aiming dificulites when you try to shoot people in one car, while your in another car. It tries to line up the tip of your gun with the crosshairs, and it's hard to tell where your actually aiming. I stopped him and got out of the car, to get around that problem, though I'v also shot the gas tank by accident, and that blows up his car.
I was talking about shooting the tires of his car before he ever gets in it. WAAAYY before he gets in. You get to walk past his car and you can shoot his tires then. It works trust me, I failed the first time and after that I just shot his tires before I went in and then when he tried to get away....he didn't have a chance lol.
@uberwolf420 like when the guy comes out with a bullet wound then the cutscene finishes you can just shoot all the tires on the car making flats so when he tries to escape he will probably just go idk 10 20 or 30 per hour? lol

lol yea, somtimes the dog is slow, and you can climb up the boxes before it reaches you. I'v tried shooting the guy in the car, but I always hit the back of the car. The only ways I could stop him were to cut him off, or shoot the gas tank, I figured shooting the gas tank was a bad way of getting the money back, even though it still counts it if you do it that way. The only times I'v tried shooting at him at the start there, I always missed, I didn't know you could stop him pre chase.
yea the first time I tried, I chased him for 10 minutes, then gave up and restarted. Second time I tried to shoot his wheels, and after about 5 minutes I accidently shot his gas tank. I wanted to see if I could do it faster and randomly I stopped him after less then a minute, fucker almost killed me while I was getting out of my car.
at 1:54 he was probably thinking "yellow car!!!11"
