This was a really really bad week. Where I live in Glasgow, trees fell onto cars, also falling onto roads leaving huge 2 meter wide, 30cm deep dents in roads. Peoples houses damaged, roofs caving in and everything. Horrible.

You have to remember that the 165mph winds were recorded at the top of Cairngorm - over 4000 feet above sea level. Of course, it still was very stormy down at lower levels, with gusts of 90-100mph in a few places.

Holy Cow! That's a hurricane. I watched this on a web cam in the UK the other night and it looked really nasty, thought the cam was going to be blown off of where ever it is located! That's crazy, so it's the same as usual, nothing new, daily strangeness?

oh man the POLESHIFT is picking up speed, the wind was crazy here too, in newfoundland they had 167Kmh winds Cat 2 yesterday, planes crashing not being reported since dec1-4 i counted 16 plane crashes but not on tv news
