  • that not what i saw in 2009

  • ROFLMAO!

  • The Great Depression, like most other periods of severe unemployment, was produced by government mismanagement rather than by any inherent instability of the private economy.

    Milton Friedman

  • Is the US economy fundamentally sound, or is it in terminal decline? Please put aside your politcal affiliations for just a few minutes and take a look at this YouTube vid:

  • Kiss it good bye people. Im following plan B.

  • the hole gets any deeper our great-grandchildren will be still trying to pull us out.

  • an old saying, "you can't get out of the hole, until you stop digging it..."

  • Dick gaylord!? my goodness what an unfortunate name

  • MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

  • FACTS (4): George W Bush is the worst president the USA has ever had, by any measure. God help you guys. From a European perspective... you're fukt.

  • FACTS (3): Consumer spending stalled for 2nd str8 month. This part of the US economy accounts for 68% of annual output, which means the average American's outlay on debt service, housing, medical care, food & energy now accounts for over two-thirds of his/her total spending. This is the highest since record-keeping began in 1980 (source: Bloomberg).

  • Hmmm....and isn't it funny how this is occuring AFTER the democrats took control.

  • yeah, you would be that naive.....better go pray at church for more republicans and bigger suv's. im sure jfk was responsible for 9/11 too. its a shame "you people" cant have a more realist point of veiw, but like harvey danger said, " you need stupid people to balance the planet." funny, you will suffer for supporting this man....jokes on you:)

  • What part of my statement is not true? I stated a fact & now I'm stupid? How do you know what party I'm affiliated with? There are many democrats out there who are unhappy with our democratic congress.

  • i dont know much at all. im banking you are a george bush supporter though. tell me, what is it that you people like about him? i dont get it. do you really believe he has a shred of compassion for you or any of the others for that matter.... these clowns are applying for a job just like everyone else though people get to suffer for their actions...

  • panhead55: Out of the two running, I do believe that McCain truly cares about America more than Obama. McCain is not in this race so much for hisself. Take for example earmarks. He could have received many of favors for embedding earmarks thru the years but declined to do so. The democrats are robbing us blind & want no authority to stop them. Pelosi's husband just received $25million for his own 'construction company'. Where's the outrage?

  • like i said, i dont know enough to form a honest opinion on these two dudes. i dont like the idea of staying in a failing war though just in case something might happen. i could die next week, doesnt mean im going to rob my neighbor for some last minute gratification. also i flat out do not like george bush and mccain supports him so he is not a decent choice. give me some "solid non bill o'reilly" facts that proves obama doesnt like his country please...

  • @ytdsmom right. It's even funnier how the Republicans controlled congress for the previous 14 years! Yikes,

  • FACTS (2): US consumer confidence has dropped to its lowest level in 5 years. Latest Conference Board index points to the worst outlook for 17 years. Proportion of respondents believing jobs are plentiful dropped to 20.6% from 23.8% last month.

  • FACTS (1): American new home sales in Jan'08 shrank to a 13-year low, home foreclosures soared 8% in Jan alone (by 57% from Jan'07). Bank repossessions are up 90% from Jan'07 with Fla., Nev, & Ca. having the highest foreclosure rates. House prices fell 9% in Q4 2007, the biggest depreciation since comparative records began in 1987.

  • that appears to be the furthest gw has gone into an or any economics book in his life
