I'm not sure why people keep going on how Titanic was so sad. Of course it was. It was tragic. In all seriousness here.
But if Titanic hadn't struck the ice burg, if those people wouldn't have died, we wouldn't realize our mistakes. Wether it was by going too fast or something else that forced the ship to sink, we wouldnt have learned from this sinking.
Sometimes, the trageties is what brings out the best in our world.
@KrazyKatey101 And exactly the worst thing, people see the faults, but have to wait for a disaster to happen before it gets changed, like the pride of free enterprise, 24 ferries had sunk of the same design before they changed it.
There was no ONE reason this tragedy occured. For me, that's what makes it so incredibly sad. There were so many things that went wrong, both natural & human error that brought it about: the forward bulkheads that didn't rise higher than E deck, no binoculars in the crowsnest, unheeded ice warnings, the moonless night, the flat calm of the ocean, Labrador currents sweeping icebergs further south that year, failure to take the berg head on, failure to slow down, too few lifeboats, & more.SAD..

I was actually 6 when this movie was released...up then i didn't understand why people had made fuss about the movie Titanic.. until only i discovered the epic love tragedy when i was 15...
Hey man, fuck all the haters - they can't appreciate a masterpiece of acting and film art. I love this movie. The fact that this movie became the highest grossing film of all time (until 2009's epic AVATAR) it shows that people liked it.
A bloody lot of people (1.8 billion dollars...). At the end of the day it's what movies are about - to be enjoyed.
@mariopatrick123 hehe...yeah in the movie I suppose it did make a difference hehe..although in the movie there is some historical input too...the lookouts were missing their binoculars, the sea and sky where clear..I also believe there was no moon either...so it was pitch black and calm heh.
@mariopatrick123 No it wasn't, it was the lookouts fault because THEY got distracted, and they shouldn't be and still take care about what they were doin up there!=)
I highly doubt that if the one or two seconds of distraction had not occured, the Titanic would have been able to bypass the iceberg in time and smoothly sailed onto New York.
@mariopatrick123 Haha I think about that everytime I watch the movie (which if you add together is probably several hundred! lol) but in all seriousness, the main cause of the disaster was because that guy with the moustache (I forget his name) asked the Captain to speed up Titanic so that they could arrive at America on "Tuesday morning" as a surprise and 'make the headlines.'
@mariopatrick123 it wasn't theyr fault.. when you have a job like that you have to be very serious ... they were uo there to look in the water not at kate and jack how they kiss
Yeah but now that you know where the ice really comes you notice that a lot of ice is just falling down between the iceberg and the ship although there isn't much space.
A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand

@KrazyKatey101 Exactly! And if the wreck of the Titanic had not happened, we wouldn't still be talking about it today, nor making movies about it.

i realized something. jack and rose distracted the lookouts laughing which caused them to see the iceberg late. it was their fault lol
