For evrybody that's commenting on how it can handle paper

1.) it's not meant for paper, it's meant for harder and more brittle materials. (metal isn't brittle, but is more than paper easily

2.) look at the grinder, it's spinning outward, not inward, if it did, the paper might suck right in to the machine in one piece and the wedging pressure could possibly even break it. It's supposed to process only what's left over after everything got broken up, not huge chunks of material that wouldn't fit.

They're trimmed rolls of paper. Meaning they're scraps left over from cutting the original rolls. The original rolls are much longer and there's no use for the trims, so like anything, they get em recycled.
