I didn't attack you - I attacked the blind love for that son of a bitch FLW. And I am in worse shape than if I attacked Jesus. FLW is who I say he is.
I had a friend who studied under him - and defended him to the end. He's like Manson - He is a cult.
Ford's home is awful. FLW did in good faith take this on - then fled. He could have said - No I will flee - let this NY firm take it on from the start.
And people defend him - his piss poor flat roofs, etc

@1967mustanggta If you talked less and researched more, you would realize that Frank Lloyd Wright left his proposal to be completed by an associate (who worked slavishly in his manner) until fired by Ford. Consequently, Fair Lane ended up a bizarre combination of Prairie Style layout and castle-inspired decoration -- a quaint architectural mongrel.
Your railing about homosexuality, irrelevant to this topic, suggests that you are trying desperately to convince yourself something. Nobody cares.

I don't think it was Henry Ford who changed his mind. I believe that Frank Lloyd Wright had an opportunity and went to Japan to work. Where he build a large hotel which withstood a huge earthquake. Making Wright very famous architect. Ford was left to use a German Architect who designed that "not so nice" house.

@bscottb8 The arroagant fuck Frank Lloyd Wright had nothing to do with this house. He bailed on the project and it was handed over to another firm to get the job done. Frank Lloyd Wright is the perfect example of how famous and God like you can become if you run your own PR and pay friends to be favorable critics of your "efforts." FLW is a horrible liberal designer who threw shit together just because he wanted regardless of how it worked. Have the guts to stand up and hate the bastard!

Condensed from Fair Lane website: "In 1909, Henry Ford approached Frank Lloyd Wright to commission a new country house. Wright eloped to Europe, so Fair Lane's design was taken over by Marion Mahony Griffin (a former student of Wright) at Van Holst & Fyfe. In 1912, Ford dismissed the firm and hired William H. Van Tine. Fair Lane's design was greatly modified. The result was an eclectic mixture of English castle elements juxtaposed with Wright-Midwestern prairie features."
