Do not compare to Ipod. The Sansa is nothing like the Ipod. Comparing it to the Ipod is a disgrace to the Ipod. The Ipod sucks and is probably the worst MP3 Player created. Nothing can stand up to the Sansa.

I got one and it's excellent. The only gripes are the head phones aren't exactly made for wear and tear, and since Sandisk is a memory manufacturer, you'd expect much more memory for a cheaper price. 4 and 8gb is so small and cheap in today's standards.

I just know this will sound so dumb! This is my first such device. Costco-2gb fuze: $44. Where are the instructions? Fighting temptation to return it. Why don't they include a dvd instruction device to show, tell us, demonstrate. I can find nothing about it. Download the manual? Printer isn't working-to the library to download the manual . Sansa assumes everyone knows about these little devices? MP3 the same as a podcast? Oh, help-please!

cuz alot of ppl have a busy schedule and coulnt be bother to search around especially when Apple ipods are already known for their quality, sleek, cool devices. some people like the iphone cuz its navigation is easy and fun to use and so later they will decide to match their iphones with another apple product, sorta like buying a set of furniture, it has to match. Some ppl are loyal to apple, some find it easier to use,but in the end it comes down to compatibility with their computer. simple =D

I just wish more people took the time to research MP3 players to see what's out there, rather than just assuming iPod's the best deal. All you're paying for is the brandname. Sure, an MP3 player, most of the time, doesn't have games. Big deal. With expandable memory for the Fuze, you'll never run out of space for all your playlists, and with FM radio and recording options, you can record any song you'd like when it pops up on the radio, or your favorite radio talk shows!

Plus, the only ipod that i like and is worth buying is the ipod touch, it gives you games that have better graphics then the Ds itself! and you can jail break it and get apps for free. also, the ipod nano sucks, it has no features at all. And the ipod video sucks to because it has such a small screen for a video. If you want a good video player go for the zune 80gb. It has a huge screen comepared to an ipod. Also if you wanna buy a shuffle, dont bother because you can get a sansa clip!.

@slaphappy59: I dunno that it sucks, but I do know that people buy them because they want to be on the bandwagon. All their friends have them, and they'll feel goofy if they get something different. Most people don't take the time out to see what's out there and automatically assume iPod is the best thing out there, that nothing's better. The Sansa Fuze is better in two ways: one, expandable memory and two, FM radio and recording options. I mean, you can record songs off the radio for free! :D

well it just annoys me that in every mp3 player video i see if it has one little thing that is same as the ipod so they make this big thing and automaticly think it is great...sandisk view is the best mp3 player i have ever used but i have never tried the fuze i want to though

to watch videos you have to use the media converter. download the updated version from the sandisk website.

lol u need a a sansa convter easy as 1 2 3 all u do is download a vido connet your sansa fuze and open sasa convter and bam on there

@ny007ny: Just click "Add Media" on Sansa Media Converter, open up your video file, and click "Convert". Done!

I'm sure you've already done that, so sorry if this doesn't help.... Plus, it's been four months now. You've probably taken it back by now, am I right?

you can burn from limewire but its a risky thing to do because it can mess up your fuze and its better to just do it with rhapsody because you can get the music full cause sumtimes when i download from limewire the music is sumtimes messed up or somone didnt record it all the way so yeah.

My e250 sansa (2gb) wasn't working so i just exchanged it for the new fuze because it was the same price. I just got it today it works great and really nice features, it owns the ipd nano!

you don't have to use any program at all, you could drag the songs into it, I use media monkey though, it works with the ipod too, but I prefer my fuze over my old ipod cause it does the same thing and it has a radio (not much but its an expensive addon for the ipod)

i was thinking of buying one, they have the 4 gigs at my local walmart and it the screen as bad as they say it is??

at first i was gonna get a nano but now im leaning towards a fuze

while the nano comes in boring silver...i can get a cool pink or red fuze
