@Ghanasbeauty29 People in Nigeria have different accents. this is a normal Nigerian accent. Some are more pronounced but those are the un-educated people. It's called Pidgeon. A sort of Creole English. But you're right Nigerians do have strong accents. The upper class however, have very mild accents or dont have one at all. Like me, I can turn it on and off, or can do a mixture of both. But you can say my "accent" is a sort of very mild twang of nigerian in it when expressing a strong emotion

Ghanaians have an accent but it is not as strong as nigerians.. ive been all over africa and i find it hard understanding nigerians when they speak compared to the ghanaians.. But i still think the eastern africans have the strongest accents.. very hard to understand them when they speak..

People first of all, there is no such thing as a Nigerian accent... igbo persons accent is different to that of a yoruba, or hausa or any other part of nigeria they r coming from.... these people's "Nigerian Accents" seem like VERY watered down Nigerian accents. trust me, the whole side of my dad's family including himself is Nigerian, and i know how they speak. and the accents are thicker than that. there are also different Nigerian accents. but i guess since this was broadcast on American TV they wanted people to know what they were saying. and also, Hollywood doesn't care if they are accurate.

My maid who is mostly lower class yet educated speaks like on this show. I on the other hand am Nigerian an have no accent, I automaticaly switch depending on my mood, often a mixture of english and nigerian accents. Although you can be considered upper class and still have a heavy accent, which i generaly called bush..
