  • I remember this programme the first time round - it was desperate then and it is even more desperate now. Tragic beyond belief.

  • Man this lady is boring!

  • The blues scale in E also has an A#. Ahum...

He now talks about the E minor pentatonic scale.

    Those Rock guys...

  • Very interesting clips! It's weird to see how rock music hadn't yet been formalised, the way it has now with the Rockschool grades. The "right hand damping" good ol' Deirdre is taking about is now called palm muting. The "blues scale" Henry shows us is in fact a minor pentatonic scale.

  • The bass player has goofy technique!

  • o c'mon, that girl playing the guitar has funk, funk it up!!

  • Funk shouldn't be analyzed, either you have it or you don't. When I think of music theory, I think classical. Get down just for the funk of it!

  • I prefer Bootsy's approach. Direct and simple, as funk.

  • is there any way to get this whole series? its great

  • great show, wish these sort of shows were more common these days on TV

  • @felps101 true that,, but today is Internet for education.. education on commercial tv is death.. Only Discovery and NG ..
