They are very quiet actually. The raw, darker one sounds much more unique too. Very awesome sound and I fell in love with the 20 inch at my music store, but the crash is so gong-y and awful. I'd rather pay the cheaper price for the AA raw ride because they sound similar. In fact, the AA may even be a little more jazzy.
If you're gonna buy any used cymbal, you might as well buy this one. It will NEVER die (unless you chuck it off a building), I've had my 20" since '85.
I own a 20" HH Leopard Ride and I must say I totally love it. wish I had this 22" baby, but the 20" works fine, too. It's as loud as you want it to be, but it can be pretty silent, too. depends on how you play it. Versatile cymbal, the "love it or hate it" type, though.
If i remember correctly, sabian will gladly do a special size order on most of their upper end stuff. Also, i just checked and its still for sale, you better pounce. Its on their website.

Hellhammer used the extra heavy weight version (Old one) of this ride, his ride is more "pinging" than this. ;)

i had one of these, sadly cause of the thickness it was actually very quiet. Ended up ordering in a AA medium heavy instead
