I'm not trying to be a hater or troller, but most of the games listed in this comments section are funnier than Castle Crashers. It was fun, but it was not top ten level funny. Borderlands, Team Fortress, and GTA 4 beat it easily, and that is just ones that I can see right now.

Team Fortress 2 should have been at least number 3. This is one of the few games that I actually encourage leaving the pre-recorded character dialogues alone, they're just that awesome. Without the humorous, witty and colorful things that the characters of TF2 have to say, TF2 would not be as popular or critically acclaimed. When I first purchased TF2 (Orange Box, bought it five years ago) the humor nearly overwhelmed me, TF2 is a true comedy/MMOFPS hybrid.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga was one of the funniest games I ever played. Really, Peach's voice stolen and replaced with explosives, Fawful ranting about fink-rats and mustard on sandwiches, and no one knows poor Luigi's name until he saves Mario and the rest of the kingdom. The Mario and Luigi Series rivals Earthbound as one of the best RPG's by not taking itself seriously with a long-winded plot or annoying random battles.
