  • Stacey Tooke is brilliant. Ade is perfection. Billy Bell is freaking ridiculous.

God, this dance gave me chills.

  • I freaking love this performance it was amazing!

  • BaAC?

  • @circuspimp but the majority of homeless people I've seen in my life have been white.

  • they couldnt make ade the homeless guy, it would be racist

  • emmy nomination

  • billy is mine the rest of you girls go away XD

  • Emmy Nominated!!!!!!!

  • People always claim that Billy was arrogant, but I never saw it that way. I saw him as having a dry sense of humor along with a slight social problem. He just didn't come off as friendly, but I think he was just awkward.

  • Emmy winner xD

  • I wish the homeless folk here danced like that. They would get much more money.

  • So, poll question: Do you think Billy's hat was supposed to be over his eyes for the first half of this dance?

  • @balletdancer4life Yes it was.

  • @balletdancer4life If I remember correctly, the story is that they were old friends, grew apart and this is when they meet up again, with Billy on the street begging for money (and Ade a successful businessman, of course). The mask over his face symbolizes the fact that he is unknown to Ade, until the moment when they look at each other. The dance then continues with Ade 'helping' Billy.

  • i hate the host she's so annoyinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • Billy was amazing.

  • amazing

  • I mean, like. That tilted developpé/sick leg extension at 1:12! omg <3

  • I didn't like Billy unti'l I started to do ballet. Than i realized how amazing he is. My point: I didn't like him because I didn't knew a shit about dance.

  • I still love watching this routine...I come back to it periodically because I think it is one of the most moving pieces I have seen on the show. I neve fail to be moved by it.

  • i think this was one of the best dances all season, Billy and Ade are both amazing dancers, Billy has definatly got a gift to dance...all i can say is wow!

  • wow billy is truly amaizing and a cutie :)

  • I never felt anything while watching dance until I started watching this show. These people aren't just dancers, they're storytellers.

  • Whats this remix of the song called? i like it!

  • @ikbenrobin123 it's still mad world by gary jules it's just the alternate version it's on the donnie darko soundtrack

  • he managed to look drunk and graceful at the same time, which was whoa. i never really liked billy's character--not that i can say that about his person, since i don't know him, but his character on screen anyway--but this was technical genius :D

  • Look !! Natascha en Lorenzo SYTYCD - Mad World also realy good

  • possibly the best dance EVER

  • I cry every time I watch this! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH AMERICA!?!?!?!!?!?!?! Billy is a lovley monster who can dance way better than you morons!

  • @sniggledee Dance is not only about the moves.

  • Billy is a gift to dance.

  • Billy reminds me of Sean Hayes, maybe that is why some people couldn't take him seriously. Personally I think this routine was very powerful. Well executed.

  • sytycd lorenzo and natasha - mad world

  • i lovveee this piece

when it comes down to it, it doesnt matter who won or lost in the show, but everyone can agree that this is amazing. <333

  • So I heard Billy is auditioning again for Season 8, I really hope he doesn't change his androgynous style because Nigel told him that was the reason he was in the bottom 3. Gruff manliness is clearly not his style, so I'd hope he doesn't try to butch up and end up looking fake for the sake of the show. He's uber talented enough already.

  • Best ever contemporary routine! Billy is an incredible dancer if he he ever came to South Africa I would go out of my way to see him dance!

  • i met billy and he was extremely nice! LOVE HIM!

  • i love how ade steps over billy backwards without even looking...skillage...

  • Wow this dance always blows my mind...So amazingly choreo'd and danced.

  • just amazing... i love it

  • i was bummed when billy was eliminated :/ stacey tookey is an amazing choreographer. her pieces always tell stories of ordinary human lives. this dance makes me speechless.

  • So I would really be content with just watching Ade stand around, but the fact that he's an amazing dancer is just an added bonus.

  • Emmy Nomination 2011

    Adechike and Comfort "Fallin"

    Robert and Allison "Fix You"

Neil and Kent "How It Ends"

    Twitch and Alex "Outta Mind"

Lauren and Robert "That Home/ Pillow Dance"

Top 7 "Every Little Thing She Call Is Magic

  • @afwNJafw dont forget Kathryn and Robert "Heaven is a place on earth" :)

  • does anyone know what move ade does at 0:45

  • @PuffyFuzz I'm pretty sure its called a calypso (haha sorry about my spelling :P) or that's what we call it at my studio

  • @SmartBrunette105 there is a seperate name form it, calypso's include a roll and a cinder hand stand.

I'm fairly certian the move itself is called a tajete, but i'm not positive

  • @SmartBrunette105 thank you!! i dont care if its wrong, ur the only one who replyed

  • Stacey Tookey is so underrated. Her artistry and choreographing talent are so subtle, in the best way. She just "gets it."

  • This Dance is Perfect!

  • Ade is brilliant as always, but Billy just isn't even human when he dances...o_o

  • I don't know why he got eliminated on his best night!!!! He should've been in the finale

  • this was his best dance! and he didnt get in

  • The emmy nominations for next year will be as following

Kent and Neil " How it Ends" WINNER

Robert and Allison " Fix You"

Alex and Twitch "Outta Your Mind"

    Adechike and Comfort "Fallin"

    Billy and Ade "Mad World"

  • 1:11 WITH THE LEGS UP IS JUST PERECT!

  • omg. billy is not arrogant! U DON'T VEN KNOW HIM

  • Comment removed

  • Just saying, you all are being incredibly rude. Can we not just watch the dance and comment on that? I mean, how did we even start talking about lauren or kent or cheerleading?

  • This is such an emotional dance.

  • i dont wanna seem stupid or anything but even though lauren and kent were in the finale....blablabla... isn't this a dance with billy so why is almost everyone talking about lauren and kent???...

  • @xxxcHoCoPiExxx15 I don't know either. Becuase they feel the need to fight with someone online who they won't remember in 5 minutes? And you don't seem stupid :-)

  • @JessBelikov thanks and lol...

  • @JessBelikov We arent fighting were giving our opinions just because we dont agree on our different opinions doesnt mean were fighting...

  • This was my favorite piece this season. Thanks for uploading.

  • freaking amazing. i cant believe he left that week!

  • I didn't like Billy, but thats not to say he isn't an amazing dancer, but he was a bit arrogant. This is just my opinion on him. The dance was amazing and this is the one that made me respect him more as a dancer, but I still feel that with everyone around him calling him amazing gave him a giant ego.

  • @Sumguyoverthere I agree, he was me and my friends favorite when he auditioned in season 6, but now I don't like him.

  • stacey tookey was the only choreographer that did Billy justice.

  • billy bell was my favorite!!!!! :(

  • billy should have stayed and not adechicke even to i loved him billy was better :(

BUT...thank god lauren wow she deserved it

  • @danc3r124 100% agree with you for everything you just said

  • @CaptainAubie thank u :)

  • @danc3r124 Lauren sucks she is just a stupid cheer leader( cheerleaders can't dance) with no technical background Kent definitily was better straight up he is amazing America got it totally wrong.

  • @penwarita Actually some cheerleaders CAN dance if they take classes (that would make sense...as to why lauren is so damn good. and FYI i was a cheerleader but I am a better dancer. And Lauren was more versatile thats why she won. Lauren and Kent should have won as a team because they were both so good!!

  • @penwarita You obviously don't know a thing about dance.

  • @ktdcsix really dumb ass I've been with dance professionally for 18 years if you think cheer leading and dance are the same your an idiot ,all cheerleaders can do is shake their ass wow that takes talent ,dancers blow them away,it takes more discipline and technique.stop talking about what you don't know.

  • @penwarita You just pissed me off. you dont know the first thing about cheerleading, and lets leave it at that. dance and cheerleading are two different things, but they both are a HUGE part of my life. And I dont know about other cheerleaders, but on my team and in my reigon, its illegal to "shake your ass" at a game, competition or any other pubic event. needless to say, its just tasteless. so, please, slow down there.

  • @penwarita Are you serious calling Lauren the stupid cheerleader when Kent was the one that looked like a stupid cheerleader with his cheesy faces.

  • @giovannisonyericsson Well he may of had cheesy faces as you put it but at least he has talent Lauren is totally over rated we'll see who gets more jobs. sounds like you might have alittle crush wow

  • @penwarita Lauren is more talented than Kent and Kent is the one that is overrated things like his Stepping and Jazz with Allison were horrible which is why he didnt win!! Atleast Lauren didnt have bad routines though you are correct when you say Cheerleading isnt Dancing Gymnastics adds something to dance.

  • "professional show" lol are you serious?! lol you realize that there is a sign that lights up and says "clap" "cheer" etc. I'm sure that if there wasn't the audience members would do just what you and I and all others watching this at home do: stare in awe. lol like JESS BELIKOV said, its part of the show

  • favorite dance of the season! just amazing!

  • @Vcc2cc your mom does cuz this song is awsome

  • Comment removed

  • @maskorane I agree that guy is wack and has no taste

  • I showed this to my friend because i loved it so much... He said it was gay because two guys were dancing together, but apparently, two guys dancing hiphop together is not gay at all... He just doesn't understand...

  • who choreographed this?

  • @0mgshoes Stacey Tookey

  • dude that was a pretty awesome routine, i dont see why he got bottom 3 for it, and he stayed safe in his krump routine at the beginning of the season. but i still luved the routine

  • One of my favorite routines, and one of the best of the season! So much emotion, and chemistry! They weren't dancing; I was watching a movie.

  • If only he'd done more dances to songs I like...

  • billy bell is an awsome contemporary dancer. I would of liked him going to the finals:/

  • Omg I love Billy!!! I'll miss him.He did so well!I just adore this routine. Can't believe he didn't make it to at least top 4 T-T

  • I love this dance so much. The music and the choreography just puts the whole thing together. Billy was amazing, and I wish he didn't have to go so soon.

  • I LOVE the moment around 1:23! BIlly's facials were BRILLIANT! He got ROBBED! I missed him on last night's episode. And, holy crap, Ade! Why didn't he dance like that when he was competing?!?

  • wow that was absolutely amazing!! What's up with Nigel =/

  • i love the move at 0:45. so amazing

  • love it!!! billy was my fav... WHY DID HE GET ELIMINATED!?!

  • I LOVE BILLY BELL!!!!!

  • @therepublicofjohn: that's pretty interesting,... i haven't done acting, but have come out for dance performances from the back of the audience where you weave between people and see their reaction close up, it's awesome. but they were respectful. there's a point where someone in the audience who doesn't get it it getting more attention then the artist who really worked hard at their performance. as a performer, i'm old school, i believe in showing respect.

  • I hate that America didn't see how Billy was not only an amazing dancer, but an amazing performer as well. I LOVED every single dance he did because he always got so into character. :)

  • is this posting?

  • I love this piece! Ade has always been great, and Im shocked he can dance in them shoes!LOL! wonderful! However, i think billy got him in this one! Hes the one who I felt put the emotion in it! I almost cried due to his expressions! Hes not just an extraordinary dancer, but a great actor with his dances as well! this is my favorite dance, but Kents contemporary with the allstar guy was good as well!

  • Best performance of this season! The music is haunting and Billy and Ade were fantastic.

  • No dislikes! :) Let's keep it that way. this was an extraordinary piece !

  • Atleast people are cheering/yelling for brilliant dancers instead of some talentless, overpaid Hollywood person! Even if they aren't responding in usual theatre decorm I appreciate that real performing art is becoming accessible to this generation.

  • this is a beautiful piece, it gives me chills every time i watch it.

  • Beautiful. This has been one of my favorite seasons. :)

To the previous comments: When you have people coming to a show like this, where expectations are not that of a ballet or mainstage-type performance, people are going to cheer at what they like. It's a cable-broadcasted show. Most of the people watching just like the moves or routines. They aren't looking for the emotion and message in the piece that others with performance backgrounds, or with knowledge in performance, focus on.

  • Nigel's a bitch for not standing up. It was the BEST performance of the season. One of the top routines of the show ever. It's so amazing.

  • That was amazing.

  • This is exactly what real pedestrians do when they encounter the homeless. Money won't save you, let's dance!

  • I can't believe America voted in Adechike and not Billy. What the fuck.

  • @RawrItBeMe i knooo!! i hated him with a passion.

  • @RawrItBeMe Couldn't agree more. Especially after this week. Adechike was mediocre at best and Bill was outstanding.

  • @RawrItBeMe America sucks? lol

  • I Love this video there is so much emotion and it is so true!! Our friends we have now can be homeless or have a disease in the future!! That is why we shouldn't take people and opportunities for granted!! You never know how the future will turn out

  • This male/male contemp trumps my previous favorite (Neil/Danny). Come to think of it the tWitch/Alex hip hop trumps all the other male/male hip hops as well.

  • the music is perfect for the dance.

  • Pure. Unadulterated. Poetry.

  • guys stop going on about the audience or the theme just appreciate that this piece was BRILILANT! mAYBE THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. GO BILLY!!!!! and good job to ade too. i sure couldnt dance in a suit. both were great. but billy is the one competing so im really impressed by him. HES AWESOME!

  • if we went to the ballet or most professional shows it would be considered rude and inconsiderate,.. they wouldn't do that at a movie either. I think Cat or someone should ask people to refrain from cheering during the performance. That's just common sense and the way it would work if we treated this like a professional show.

  • @MatiAnguita It is part of the show. It's been like this since the beginning, there not going to change it now. Like I said before, If you don't like It DON'T WATCH IT.

  • @JessBelikov i agree if you go to any performance or competition someone is bound to cheer on who is performing take YAGP for example someone is bound to cheer if someone is hitting the step and goin in its just a reaction

  • @MatiAnguita

I don't dance, but I do act on stage and when the audience lets me know it approves of what I'm doing, it pushes me to do more and be better. Maybe that's not how it works with dance, and maybe other performers have different preferences. I could see how it could be distracting for some people.

  • i honestly don't think the screaming is that bad that it distracts you from the dance. if it does maybe some of you just get distracted easily. like jess said, it's part of the live audience and if it bothers anyone that much they just shouldn't watch it...

  • that was so beautiful

  • I think that choreography at the end is so clever and cool. :) I mean, the whole thing is awesome. :) I just really like that end part.

  • Pure genius from Stacey Tookey, and danced beautifully by two of my all time favorite dancers. :)

  • We watch pieces like these in conferences all over the nation, me being a performer, would be very distracted by the screaming in a serious piece like this. It's a thrilling feeling to hear the reaction from the audience AFTER the piece when we bow.... during the piece, you're supposed to watch and feel the emotion the dancer is portraying... not distract the message by screaming. Doesn't make sense.

  • @kkatrus Yes, but there are people there that aren't dancers, and don't understand that. And that's part of i live audience. So if you don't like it don't watch it, or ignore it.

  • @JessBelikov I do ignore it the best I can. I'm not going to miss watching the amazing choreography because of silly teens screaming on top of their lungs. I just don't pay the money to go to the tour.

  • @kkatrus

I agree with you completely! I pause/mute the video and navigate away when the screaming starts! I love to take a minute to feel the moment during/after the dancers preform, at least until they bow or are finished. :3

  • @kkatrus ive been a dancer and a performer all my life. and one thing i love most about performing is the audience cheering for the piece. whether it be before after. or during. its exciting to me to hear their reaction when ive done something big in the piece. if youre a true performer and a great artist. then you should be able to easily continue on with your piece and the screaming and cheering wouldnt distract you in any sense.

  • @shortiecourtie3 i totally agree.... all the people that are complaining about how its rude and stuff... hey.... if there were famous dancers performing in the same room with you, you would be screaming too.

  • @shortiecourtie3 I am a true performer and a great artist. It is easy to continue on with the piece with screaming and cheering... if it's that type of piece. But I've done performances about a family struggling with an autistic child and on the verge of a divorce, the music being so quiet, you can hear a pin drop... which would be inappropriate and would have thrown me out of character if people screamed when I did a split leap in the air.... it just depends on the piece and the emotion.

  • @kkatrus ive been a performer for 16 years of my life. and ive done pieces dealing with everything from birth to death. and no matter what the storyline of the dance, i personally love hearing people scream and cheer. any professional performer should and could be able to block out the people that dont understand that it may be inappropriate depending on the storyline. but when i hear cheers during any piece, i feel as though theyre telling me im doing a great job. its all a matter of opinion.

  • Truly stunning routine. Great choreography. Both were brilliant, but Billy Bell is pure genius.

  • the more i watch this routine, the more i appreciate the ingeniousness (yes, i know its not a word) of the dance, and also the genius of billy and ade.

  • Billy's best performance really good

  • ccooooll....!! i love contemporary dance....

  • @ 1:22 very funny

  • One of the best performances, if not the best, in this season..

Billy is great here!! So touching. Love it...

  • Ballet?

  • @SH4D0WS74LK Contemporary.

  • the dance moves is getting weirder and wierder

  • o super chevere de verdad , llega !!!!

  • 1:22 billys face oh my god (L)

  • ommmmmg i cant even like grasp the beauty of EVERY SINGLE expression and like bit of dance never STOPS OMGOMGOMG too amazing i cant stop watching i feel like rewatching EVERY INDIVIDUAL SECOND just over and over!

  • OMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFG BEST DANCE likkkke EVER?

  • This is by far my favorite performance/piece in the history of the show!!! Both of them were absolutely amazing!!! and Billy just sooo bought into his character...he was phenomenal here!

  • This dance was so amazing.

  • I was so sad that billy got kicked off sytycd, I personally think robert should have gone

  • this is beautiful and touching. i missed this week :/ what was the concept behind this dance?

  • @outofheartify Ade is a rich person with everything, and Billy is a homeless person with nothing. And when they come face to face they realize that they are old friends.

  • This dance speaks to me as much as Mia Michaels' This Bitter Earth performance with Billy, Alex and Ade. I loved them together in this, and this performance gave me chills. The emotion is so raw I got lost in it. It was amazingly beautiful in every way.

Billy will be missed. I cried at the end of last night's result. He had learned most of what he could and, while I will miss seeing him more that I would have ever thought, I know he'll have an excellent career.

  • This routine is my LIFE right now. I cried when he left. I think he's a beautiful dancer and I looked forward to him every single week. I'll miss him, but hopefully he'll come around again as an all-star or something. Love you, Billy!

  • @ashjamie i very much agree.

    he EARNED to stay becos he proved himself in this number;

and i was such a mess when he left.

Billy, you will be gravely missed; like Alex you are gifted (:

  • this doesn't have anythng to do with this dance but it has to be said.

Nigel? Make. The. Audience. Shut. The. Fuck. UP!!!!!

I don't care how you do it, ductape their mouthes shut, kick them out, refuse to start the routine until they promise to be quiet, anything!!! The screaming always ruins the dance, and I'm sure it is extremely distracting (and annoying) to the dancers, they need to focus for petes sake!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Writteninmyheart - I agree with u, I can't stand it either. It's not a concert. For that would be the reason why I would not go to a live performance show. I would love to see the dances performed live in person but having a bunch of kids screaming during a number - such as something like this, would completely ruin it. Sadly. Think that the screaming during performances are ridiculous & needs to stop, anyone in audience who does, should be escorted out along with their families.

  • @pamylah97 It's part of the live audience. if you were there you would be screaming too. and don't say you wouldn't becuase it's a whole different thing when you'r watching them on TV, and when you'r there with them in the same room. And sometimes yes, it gets a little bit over the top, but that's what happens when there is an audience.

  • @JessBelikov I understand what your saying about it being live and its just so much more exciting, but that doesn't make it any less disruptive to the dancers. Yeah, it wasn't that bad in this routine but in others its horrific. Especially if you see them live.Couldn't even hear the melody over the screaming girls. And I get the feeling that their screaming because they want to see if they are loud enough to be heard on the TV. I think it could be changed, if we make ourselves heard to Nigel.

  • Billy is the only dancer who has the excellent artistry in movement in this season for sure. Alex, Lauren, Kent, Robert and Adechike, they are all technicians with strong attacks. But Billy is different, his moves are just smooth, effortless and so tender that it seems like his body is made from rubber. Not that i dislike Billy, but i agree with the judges' elimination of him. He doesn't need this show to grow anymore, he's just too brilliant, too dense to grow at some points.
