@ElProximo And beating Leno is a HUGE deal any day of the week. He's been number 1 in that time slot since 1994 and Conan beat Jay for an entire week of programming. And you make it seem like declining on TBS means anything. You seem to not understand that even a decline by 25-50% of Conan's current audience is still bigger than anything TBS has ever pulled at the same time. Conan will be around a long time. A LOT longer than Dave and Jay have left in their respective tanks.

@ElProximo I've been pretty humble in my comments. I'm the one who said that his ratings would likely settle. But despite that, he's beating everyone who is on NETWORK television on a CABLE channel who by default has a smaller audience to begin with. I love Dave, hate Jay. Ferguson and Fallon might be next in line but if Fallon ever gets the Tonight Show it will be the end of NBC's late night television. But as history has shown anyone who has the Late Night Show will not get the Tonight Show.

@ElProximo If Jimmy Fallon was "the next generation" he wouldn't be losing to Craig Ferguson in the ratings on a consistent basis. The fact that Conan is beating Leno on a cable network says a lot whether it's temporary or not. This "old Conan from the 2000s" doesn't make any sense to me. Conan is Conan, he is funny, smart, and entertaining. BS will never get rid of Conan,they have no reason. Since TBS began they've never had first run TV during that time slot Conan has, let alone those ratings.

@ElProximo What are you talking about Conan gone next year? He is beating NETWORK programming in the same time slot. I'm sure once the buzz of being new wears off, his numbers will decrease a little, but Conan will be around for decades to come. As for Leno, at some point he really will retire and are we supposed to be accepting of Jimmy Fallon taking over the Tonight Show? Unless someone miraculous comes on, NBC's late night may be completely dead after Leno is "really" gone.

@ElProximo To add to that, Conan's ratings were higher than Leno's this first week of news shows. Maybe it won't last forever, maybe it will, it doesn't really matter. Because doing that high of a rating on cable against network programming at any time of the day is phenomenal! And if he beat Leno, that means he also beat Letterman, Kimmel, Ferguson, and Fallon. AND Jon Stewart and Colbert.
