8 liter displacement in a four cylinder would not work for high reving HP. Cylinders would be too large, pistons too heavy, rods too long etc. It's not that simple. Too much boost(like 4 turbos) in a small engine causes a lot of heat, which causes failure. This is why the Veyron has 16 cylinders, keep the heat low to get a reliable 1000HP. Also your civic does not have down force so even if it could go that fast, it would flip over backwards(or tear apart)

True, a L4 wouldn't handle 8 litre displacement. As for high revs, the B18C honda engine can handle 10,000 rpm maybe a bit more. The F20C can handle about 13,000 rpm. I don't know of any 1000hp civics, but there are some 800hp, 8 sec civics. I know the downforce would have to be tinkered with. Sorry, I should be clearer on my point. The Veyron has a poor power to weight ratio, a 1000 hp Supra has a better one. I understand what you're saying. You make good points.
