Bro I believe it, lol I have a d15b in my 2000 civic and its fully obd2 compliant and no cel's....lol Damn I was thinking about this when my engine blew, but I really couldnt pass up the deal I got $75 bux engine trans harness ecu w stage 3 clutch new axles cam new pistons rods etc...The idiot I got it from tried swapping it into his 96 civic and wouldnt start due to d15 not having crank sensor lol..Sold lsd trans axles and clutch ecu etc for $850 and ended up ahead...I love my honda

My trained eye says this is a D17 head that's been tapped to mate to the d16 exhaust manifold... The intake from a D16 is easily modded to fit a D17 head. The D17 normally has a plug where the dizzy goes, so it's been removed and the the D16 dizzy lives there now... PERHAPS...? Things to note that shed doubt: (1) valve cover is d17 - note the coil on plug mounting studs
(2) How did you put the dipstick through the D16 head without drilling a hole through it?

@catfisher10100 not really its just the crappiest of the D engines.. im stuck with one .. all american EX 7th gen civics should come with that standard... 127 hp 113 tq if i recall correclty
cancel the front drains and re tout them to the back. motor mounts you use whatever chassis a sigle cam came with. whatever d series head gasket will work with this. d15,16

we used the d16 head just so we could keep the injection systen intact. its as easy as just replacing the bottom end. thats it,
