I read he worked in ring as a wrestler on the indy's as well it's been said he wasn't too popular with the boys in ECW and that he was paranoid for his job.
Dude Vince owned ECW the entire time, Heyman worked for him, they set that company up to retain Vinces talent, so they thought they had somewhere to run, and then he tested them, and Vince won like it or not, Paul ended up working for him happily all over again, the talent got screwed, it's a monopoly and there's no union for wrestlers, everyones getting screwed now a days at least wrestlers already know about a screw job.

Sid came out & entered the ring AWESOME! Ray did hella mic-work! D-von sold great! It fell apart at 3:48. Sid went after D-Von instead of finishing the double-header with powerbombing Brother Ray. When he started messing with him on the stretcher and Spike came in it killed the POP. Also, Spike going for the spot off Ray @ 4:37 intended for D-von got messed up so it seemed as if they were looking for anything EXTREME to POP the crowd. Not bashing, just stating my opinion on the video.

Sid came out & entered the ring AWESOME! Ray did hella mic-work! D-von sold great! It fell apart at 3:48. Sid went after D-Von instead of finishing the double-header with powerbombing Brother Ray. When he started messing with him on the stretcher and Spike came in it killed the POP. Also, Spike going for the spot off Ray @ 4:37 intended for D-von got messed up so it seemed as if they were looking for anything EXTREME to POP the crowd. Not bashing, just stating my opinion on the video.

Discovering and developing Rob Van Dam, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Sabu, Chris Benoit, Tazz, Raven, The Sandman, Al Snow, Tommy Dreamer, allowing Cactus Jack and Steve Austin to show their potential, and introducing the American audience to the entire notion of mature content and hardcore matches was sooo lame and insignificant.

Always the funny thing with Sid, he was one of the poster children for all the things ECW used to badmouth and rail against. But in his few appearences for them, he got massive pops.
