I love this song. I'm frosh playing this with our band. Hopefully we sound this good. I love how the lower instruments sound at measure H, for anybody who has seen the sheet music. :) For anybody who doesn't know, its at 4:10

i totally remeber playing this. if i squint hard enough i can see myself. hehe. i think 2009 year's concert band is better than in this video, but this isn't bad.
it's not technical its just fast. It gets technical in the middle section tho so ur right bout that. you guys did well! our concert band is playing that and i hope it sounds this good
I like this piece very much. I, like many of you, played this back in Jr. High and have fond memories of it. It's a fairly technical piece for younger bands. Looking at some of the other videos by other bands, this is one of the better ones. I'd love to hear if performed by a professional group to actually hear the piece at its highest potential.
woodwinds are very much in tune! I played this song when I was in High School. I played the Oboe in this song and it was beautiful... Spent lots of time making sure the woodwinds were in tune. Clarinets have a lot of high pitches in this song, Ie; High C,D,E and so on. Very nice woodwind sound! Tempo is a little fast for my liking though.
Hey!1st clarinet 1st chair clarinet in 7th grade-8th grade Iowa honors band so I'm just say a few things about your playing (constructive critisism) or just comments.
1.Trumpets and Flutes were very well in tune.
2.Very good tempo
3.Precussion is just rushing just a bit.
4.Articulation is very nice. Beautiful sound.
5.Players should NOT look at their music too much. Look at the conducter to tell when to be cut off and such.
other then that, FABULOUS band. Congradulation on your playing
percussion had to sightread the music pretty much cause we were more working on marchin stuff. Plus we were short on percussionists so we have all our good ones in symphonic band.
sounds like there are no low reeds, our band is playin this song in carrollton tx! our director says da low sounds are da most important like tuba and stuff
yeah. if you could see the band better, you would see that our low sound is comprised of one tuba, two baritones, five trombones, three bass clarinets, and two basoons. that's thirteen low instrument players. I'm pretty sure we have thirteen flute players alone, and then you add on the eight clarinets, and 16 trumpets.
wow... your band is really big compaired to ours... my school is really really small and we have 1 tuba, 2 trombones, and a bassoon as our low section... play the tuba but sometimes switch to the baritone when needed
guess u can play the solo at e but its hard doing the brass solo then going to the solo at e thats why the baritones dont play the brass solo so they can play at e
what! we're playing this song and we're only 8th and 7th graders! actually its good song! i like thAt it was fast and very catchy (i play trombone). i can alo play this song on the piano! its high! you guys sound well! hope we sound like you guys at our upcoming bandfest!
when i was in 5th grade i was in an orchestra that played this. i was snare

beautiful sound though.
