Michigan State '98. The 1980 Rose Bowl. "The Game", 1996. We deserved a huge unlikely bounce in our favor for once. That's how I've always felt about this season, as a whole. All those painful painful close losses that stopped us in the past. We were owed that season.
I'd say they were a great team that too often played down to their competition. But they were able to get it done in the clutch, which is the mark of a great team. Why do you think the BCS took margin of victory out of its formula? Too many people have the misconception that great teams like that should win every game in blowout fashion, except for of course games vs. evenly matched opponents.
I could have fainted myself once Krenzel threw that ball. I was like, are they F'n crazy going for it like that on 4th and 1! Did I leap for joy after that incredible td though.
they didn't make that call...watch the tight end wide open on the drag over the middle, that's who he was supposed to hit, but Krenzel said fuck it and went for the whole thing. Krenzel was a stud.
I was at that game in West Lafayette. What this video doesn't show is the situation, the yards, the game that Purdue played against the champs. The Boilers were the biggest challenge that the Bucks faced and until that Miami game for the National Championship. I guess the Buckeyes were a team of destiny. They sure didn't quit. Go Big Ten football & Hail Purdue!
everytime I watch this a chill goes down my back! go bucks!!!!

I could not believe they made that call on fourth and one. Half the buckeye nation suffered from heart complications that year.

Still shows that the Buckeyes got it done when they needed it that year. Tressel is a scoreboard coach.

I remember exactly where I was when I watched this. I thought they were crazy as the play developed, but I'm definitely not going to complain. :D
