One of the best traditions in all professional sports. Never will you witness more patriotism for USA. It's the very opposite of disrespectful. This is my favorite part of hawks games, a close second would be when they honor the soldiers and everyone gives them a standing ovation.

It's totally about the words of the Anthem. The cheers are at key words, and their meaning. It started back when I was a teenager, and has proudly continued and improved since.

I remember when it was only about a hundred or so cheering, now everyone!

They showed this on VS and I hope they show it for the rest of the playoffs. I became a Hawks fan in 91 after seeing Wayne Messmer Sing the anthem at the All Star Game, and J.C. does a great job. Go Hawks One Goal.
