Upon trying several times, I've concluded that the Fsmash has too much lag and knockback to be able to follow up with an uptilt or smash, which ever you meant by "strong up attack." It's not a real combo and seems easily punishable.

Sonic is actually one of the least used. They screwed up his attacks so that they can't be followed up, and even retaliated against. Add that on to being so damn fast that you're liable to run off the stage and that he's only really in there to draw in Sonic fan boys (There are so much of them, y'know? One of the biggest markets ever!) and you got yourself a low tier character.

hey, his final smash and how he is when not final smashing it up are independent, his actions/abilities w/out the final smash DO NOT MAKE HIS FINAL SMASH WORSE. it makes him a less broken. if he hit harder, he would be very broken. w/out smash balls, sonic isnt THAT hot, but with them, he is possibly the best character in the game.

Yeah, Ike's Final Smash can make him self-destruct, and it also doesn't do as much damage as some other Final Smashes. It's a wonder why a lot of people use Ike.

some people like ike from his games, others like how he plays smashball-less, and his final smash is pretty killer by the time a smash ball shows up.(if you do it at 0%, it isnt too good, but around 50%[very possible with ike] his final smash is beastly)
