  • what is up with the guys hair lol?

  • 14:38 he jacked up too high and that made the cue ball get loose if he would have struck that cue ball at about a 45 degree angle he would have been able to dig more into the ball and the rail its more of a throw shot than a masse. ive been proposed with the same shot and if i didnt hit it one rail it would have gone two rails and made contact.

  • This guy is brilliant, but on these tables all one has to do is put the ball near the pocket and it goes in. The pot at 10.12 hit the side cushion first then went in the pocket!? The pockets are like buckets! Give me snooker anyday. Much more skill and tactic involved.

  • @XXXbezzaXXX same here, much prefer baize to nylon cloths aswell.

  • Horrible graphics, but a very good game:)

  • 23:22 WOW I found myself clapping with the crowd

  • @m4ster017 like fuck did he try that.

  • @dafyddlewis89 haa anouncers said it was luck. But I bet it wasnt

  • Efren might be the best player of all time, but I don't think I've ever seen him win a lag lol.

  • @FANJG24 I think that's him giving mercy.

  • that guys mustache in the background O.o

  • I didn't want to know the winner from the title idiot

  • hahaha 7-0 what a game

  • 14:34 that was the best choice he could make the cue ball where laying to far from the ray to jump it into and het the two ball because if he would do that the cueball jumps over the two ball and go of the table.

  • Reyes is a fine player but Mosconi surely is the GOAT.

    His World Championships speak volumes.

  • mike sigel was the greatest that HE had seen, in the 70's 80's....efren was still the best then, he was mr morales, hahaa

  • those dislikers are cross eyed, instead of liking this one

  • when Reyes steps up to take his shot you know some serious shit is about to go down...

  • 12:25 trollface.

  • 23:15 HOLY SHIT!

  • finally a vid without wych commentating

  • efren reyes is awesome but sometimes he gets weird brain farts and misses the easiest shots, I never feel like he's playing at 100% all the time

  • At 13:00 the comentator suggests to elevate over the 9, hit the cushion, bounce over the 9 and hit the 2. Ridiculous, because:

1- It's very difficult to hit the cue ball high because of the 9 right behind it

2- It would be too easy to hit the edge of the pocket, making the cue ball veer off elsewhere

3- even if he managed to hit the cushion 'properly', the chances of it being directed into the 2 are next to nil.

So much for the comentator's 'creativity' (or lack of knowledge.)

  • damn...........

  • yeah, 26 people just didn't understand how pool is played...

  • @sothatswhathappened... Following the break only, the first player to shoot may "push" the cue ball anywhere on the table and it's not a foul. The incoming player has the option to take the shot himself or give it back to the player who pushed. This rule was instituted to keep players from being punished by a bad leave on the break after making a ball... and to keep the incoming player from being punished by a bad leave on the break after their opponent fails to make a ball.

  • can someone explain to me the rule behind the "push" that efren did? isnt that technically a scratch? I'm obviously missing something here.

  • @sothatswhathapppened time ...

  • Shooting the nine ball into the two and tying them up was the obvious shot. Period

  • mika should just have tied the 9 and 2 ball in 12:25..

  • @09njan you could give a chance to make a combo in that case. Also, the 9ball is frozen.

  • @mkiv17 mika has no chance to hit the 2 ball anyway,at least he could have mess the table..and make it difficult for efren to run out..mika is a great player so i presume he can do some kind of a trick shot to tie some balls

  • 10:30-10:35 proves Efran actually uses psychokinesis for cue ball control.

  • 26 people are fucking blind.......

  • 09:41 ->That asian bastard.

  • Chris Melling will show us that he is the best 9 ball talent in the world

  • Ok so boxing… check

What else does Filipinos do well in?

You should watch why he's the magician

In the middle of an important game

He somehow makes an impossible shot.

    The thing is…

Well I can't give away the Filipino secret

  • free strokin'

  • asian are officialy good at everything

  • is the announcer a lizard?

  • Efren '' THE MAGICIAN '' Reyes = THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME !!!

  • I personally think Efren should retire but if he thinks he can still play, I'd still support him. He's my favorite pool player EVER.

  • @simplyloid he's still winning championships. he's the predator 2010 and 2011 10 ball champion and Derby 2010 9 ball and one pocket champion. :D

  • big plays!

  • immonen is a great player, bad for him he played with the master.

  • man im proud to be PNOY

  • i feel so bad for that poor man i think he will stop playing this game!

  • while some people were born with a gold spoon in their mouth. Reyes was born with a pool stick up his ass.

  • @15Bma1 Don't let me put my foot up your ass son.

  • @15Bma1 lol!!

  • Efren is as HUMBLE as Manny. An inspiration to many who never had an air of arrogance during his prime of being CHAMPION. GOD BLESS he who humbles himself. Good examples are Efren & Manny. We are proud of you. GOD bless you both.

  • What. A. BOSS!!!!

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE MUSTACHE OF THE GUY AT THE LEFT BEHIND THE FIRST DUDE THAT'S TALKING!?

  • Comment removed

  • Who Else Pee's on the side of the toilet to make less Noise???

  • well if your going to lose that bad against anyone it might as well be from The Magician Efren Reyes

  • My weakness in pool is banking... Other than that, I can whoop ya ass.

  • You can't say this guy is the best in the world, there are lots of players that can run out if they get to shoot, not just Reyes!

  • @MrStonemike Where are those "better" than the best hiding? Why don't they compete? You have to compete and win to prove yourself. A player has to win a lot of games to validate he's the BEST...not just one CHAMPIONSHIP.

  • Where is efren's opponent

  • Comment removed

  • Why is this video so looooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!

  • i agree to some that they shouldnt be compared to each other they play different games and played on different tables. efren played at a very young age too but in the philippines he didnt win tournaments at young age because at that time there almost no tournaments in the country they all do money games and correct me if im wrong i think ive heard a commentator that mosconi was just practicing when he did the 500 run so no pressure at all.

  • super wank at 12:57

  • 12:00

  • "he lets his stick do all the bragging" .. that's what she said

  • that guy who lost sat down more than the audience

  • correction....not TwinSmoke but "kvidmaster"....my fault

  • TwinSmoke....Mosconi is of course a legend and deserves all of the respect and recognition that he receives. However, he and Efren are two VERY different pool players playing two VERY different games.....9-ball and straight pool are night and day in terms of strategy and many other factors. I would LOVE to see the both of them matchup playing both disciplines....but please don't disrespect either one by knocking them....I mean, they're generations apart and they're both champions of the game

  • damn

  • Bad mother fucker

  • He makes it look so easy.Reyes in my opinion is the greatest 9-ball player of all time.

  • "He let's his stick do all his bragging." Haha, dirty!

  • i wander if it was alternate breaks, would Immonen have a chance?

  • I love that beer guy at 8:43

  • The guy at the beginning sticks his tongue out like a toad.

  • @Puck90a Flicking his tongue like a true servant of Voldemort. I don't trust him.

  • Efren Reyes is an amazing shooter. But I'd stop short of calling him "The world's greatest pool player EVER". I do believe that title is still held by Willie Mosconi.

  • @TwinSmoke What lead you to this belief? What kind of 9 ball game did Mosconi have? What kind of one pocket game did he have? 8 ball? Rotation? 3C Billiards? 10 Ball? Balkline or other carom games? Snooker? It is my guess that Efren would beat Mosconi at all of these games. He is simply the best of his generation which enjoys 20 plus years of evolution in the game of billiards. It isn't taking anything away from Mosconi to say that Efren was the best ever. Ask those who saw both.

  • @kvidmaster I'm not taking anything away from Efren. In fact, a good friend of mine Mary Avina is best friends with him. However, it was Mosconi that ran 526 balls in a row in a straight pool exhibition (a feat unmatched by anyone to this day). It was Mosconi that won 15 National Championships. It was Mosconi who at the age of 11 was winning tournaments and schooling people on trick shots and it was Mosconi who taught Paul Newman how to walk, talk and shoot pool for the movie The Hustler.

  • @kvidmaster 20+ years? Try over 500 years. This game started with the Kings of England using what looked more like golf clubs. Over time, they started using sticks. Females were not allowed to play. As far as those games you mentioned, you must be an amature. When you shoot, it doesn't matter what game it is, it's all about hitting the cue ball and making your object ball and leaving yourself with another shot. If you don't think Mosconi could do that, you are a fool.

  • hmm .. what reyes does at 20:57 should not be allowed .. what if the other guy then decides 'hey I don't have a shot either let me slightly tip it as well' .. then reyes decides again he doesn't have a shot right after that and slightly tips it again .. suddenly no one wants to take a shot in that situation .. you shouldn't be allowed to bail yourself out like that .. you should be forced to try to put in a ball .. rules need to be changed there

  • after the break he may push the ball, iff mika don't want the shot, efren must take it, if he then not hit the 2 ball, mika has ball in hand, so wtf are you talking about...

  • @steelermia that is called push, u may take the shot or not, but once mika did not take the shot, automatically efren will do the shot what ever the position of the ball, even its cover to another ball, that is the rule of "pushing"

  • @mmhhaayykk ok got it .. didn't know that thanks

  • man, that one commentator is so fucking annoying... its like im listening to a football match on the radio..

  • 23:22 amazing luck

  • 23:22 amazing luck

  • This is painful to watch.. Efren. TEACH ME...

  • lol mike looks like the cop from terminator

  • I would have expected such a result if they play One-Pocket.

    But arrogant Mika needed it.

  • @400timesmore Mika is a nice guy. He'll take time out to help you out and shoot with you. He spent hours with anyone that wanted to play and answered questions when asked and showed us some tips at Derby City. Really cool guy.

  • thats my idol hahaha im pilipino

  • poor immonen :/

  • @Lhouie27 they were both very talented even back then but my game has also improved over the past 30 years. i am not claiming i can beat anyone. i gave them their due respect. i am not foolish enough to compare myself with professional players but you should never disrespect the game of someone who you have never seen play

  • in the beggining when he went to hit the one ball and go off the rail to the 2 , Did he hit from center and hit up into the cue ball to make the follow shot ? Instead up just aiming the cue tip all ready on top of the cue ball ?

  • You owe breakfast old man!

  • @Squats200 - I've played both snooker, caram and 9-ball, and I can safely surmise that you're talking out of your ass. Further more, you clearly have no idea what you're talking out of your ass ABOUT.

  • fuck these announcers...bull

  • I'm going to rip this mans tongue out and urinate on it.

  • 23:22 was lucky to go in...however, his aim, shot speed, lower right hand English spin were masterfully executed. A kick shot of this type can only be accomplished successfully by a pool champion..such as "The Magician".

  • was that kick shot at 23:22 "luck"??? I mean, Efren's shots have been unbelievable.. i just don't think that was luck....

  • @felipolipi2000 Well I think even for Efren that kind of shot is too difficult. I think he was lucky. But I'm not sure what his plan for the shot was.

  • @fruitmaze well efren has been lucky 4 over 4 decades now..lol!!this guy is just the best player all around.

  • One of the commentators sounds like Vince Vaughn!

  • For once, I'd like to see the comment section of a pool video not be about snooker vs pool. You can't compare the two cuesports and the cueists.

  • I remember years ago, an Amercian pool guy was over in England we went down our local snooker club, he potted a few balls - half the time he was expecting to run ball down the cushion - like you see on this video with pool pockets being like buckets if you hit the cushion first they still go in. On a snooker on a 12ft table, tight pockets, bouncy cushions no chance. it's funny when pool player first play snooker they can't believe how much harder it is. Snooker is all about position play.

  • @theapeman10 Shooting down the rail on a pool table is forgiving because of the square cut pockets, not because of the pocket's size. Balls wind up on the rails MUCH more often in pool than in snooker, and it would be kinda ridiculous if you had to play safe every time a ball was on the rail.

Every cue sport is "all about position play".

I guess I shouldn't give you a hard time though, considering you're the one snooker fan who actually trolls politely.

  • @TaSk1o4 - LOL I make one general comment and your've gone back several weeks to reply to me and other people and I looked at your youtube page you joined on the 15 may 2011 and your 28 of age and your calling me a troll. You've never played snooker I take it, I think that might be because your never pulled your head out of your own ass. Pool tables in the uk pubs are tight and not square, American pool tables pockets are fucking bucket size. but your mouth is even bigger, Have a nice day.

  • @theapeman10 LOL don't act like you haven't read your same comment, in one form or another, on every pool video on YouTube. Go look up the definition of troll, then come back here and tell me you aren't trolling. This account might be new, but I've been reading the trash you snooker fans have been talking on here for YEARS, and it gets pretty old. Don't go getting all defensive and shit 'cause someone called you out, just STOP TROLLING.

  • @TaSk1o4 - I see you class people as snooker fans or pool fans why. I played snooker a lot when I was younger for 15 years and was quite good, 50-60 breaks, tight play. Playing on Pool tables was like potting in buckets, Anyone who's plays Snooker knows position play is harder and I get an Asshole like you talking shit saying pool pockets aren't bigger. it's a fact there's bigger get over that fact and stop spamming people saying the pocket is cut different. your 28 and you act like 12 year brat

  • @theapeman10 Where did I say pool pockets are the same size as snooker pockets? The point I was making is that at pocket speed the effective center of an American pool table pocket is larger when shooting down the rail than it is when shooting straight into it. This is because of the cut of the pocket, not the pocket's size. This is a simple and obvious truth. I didn't say that position in snooker is not more difficult than pool, I said " every cue sport is all about position play".

  • @TaSk1o4 - look your having laugh - pool pocket are bigger then your head and that's hugh, Your certainly a complete tool. It there any chance you might give up this spamming of me and let me get on with fucking my girlfriend as she thinks your a complete tool. Here's the deal you have made some comments and let people go back and read the comments if they they have nothing to do. I tell a story of an american work buddy over in the uk and I get America's No1 asshole spamming me.

  • @theapeman10 Considering that your most recent comment has absolutely nothing to do with my most recent comment, it appears that you have no retort beyond name-calling. If that's the case then fuck it, you may have the last word as I'm obviously wasting my time trying to explain anything to a troll.

  • I take it you lot have never watched british snooker if you think this is good!

  • @Squats200

I dont see cross rail banks on snooker.

  • Fukin shite comapred to snooker!

    Different league..

  • was this recorded with a calculator?

  • @hunnestad95 Was this comment stolen from an other video ? jackass

  • @hunnestad95 err, are you retarded?

  • Do you think you can clear the table in less then 44 seconds? If so take the '8 Ball Pool Challenge' at Konkura.com

  • respected!

  • the announcer got similar with lizard. his tongue always out every 5 seconds :)

  • 12:28 - i'll cry and go home.

  • 12:22 - Bastos ampucha. iiyak na lang ako pag binigyan ako ng ganyan.

  • Anybody could do that on that table. Can't miss with those pockets.

  • @robertsja9999 Wow. What a stupid thing to say.

  • HE'S JUST TOO DAMN GOOD.. WHY DON'T YOU COME OVER TO ANGELES CITY, PHILIPPINES...Poor Mica, I bet during that time his ass is SORE just sitting all night long...

  • Fact - one lucky shot, and your done.

  • @PosoRocks geez, this game is totally pain in the ass for immonen.. i thought it would be a fierce battle, reyes is a living legend of pool game

  • can someone tell me what happens if you dont pay after you lose to a game of pool, poker, blackjack etc? I know you get arrested or sued if its a government owned thing like vegas, but if its a game in a bar or something.
