WOW!!! I came across this a few days ago while gathering all my disco classics in YouTube I had on vinyl, I was listening to Lust from Seven Deadly Sins (check my post when you have time, sir! I even mentioned the record at the time that was a great mix behind Lust, where the bassline right where the laugh is in the track and the vibes begin). You and you colleague created GREAT TIMES for many of us Disco enthusiasts! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! 60 Minutes was
Thank you Mr Rinder for this piece from 60 minutes. I also thank you and Mr Lewis for all those great El Coco hits over the years. I still love cocomotion to this day. Also for Le Spank which to me is still a jam!
I am so glad to be born in 1970. I caught alittle bit of this era thanks to my elder siblings. What an era! Nothing compares to DISCO. Raw & pure. Unfortunately, todays kids feel the same of rap. While theres some decent new stuff out there, most of it makes me ill. Thankfully here in Chicago, DISCO STILL LIVES, be it on the underground circuit where the vibe of foregone era is still present.
AMAZING POST! Love to see stuff FROM the era not ABOUT the era.God I will always love this music! That track at 6.50 sounds so great. Thanks so much for posting this.
Laurin: seeing you and Michael at the height of the disco movement is priceless. Thanks for posting. RINDER AND LEWIS top musicians and producers. If only modern dance music could get somewhere near to their musicianship, things would be a lot better.
It's been a difficult task to assemble Michael & Laurin's fantastic output.... but rewarding: EL COCO, SAINT TROPEZ, RINDER AND LEWIS, LE PAMPLEMOUSSE, TUXEDO JUNCTION, SWEET POTATO PIE, MIDNIGHT WIND, CHEETAH, DISCOGNOSIS, DAVE WILLIAMS, IN SEARCH OF ORCHESTRA, GLORIA JONES, CONEY ISLAND CHORUS GIRLS, ELOISE WHITAKER, RINLEW ALLSTARS, DOUG RICHARDSON, early DAVID BENOIT, JOSHUA, WE FIVE... did I forget something ?? Probably...
