Hey Dave, great work man!Nice water pump too.Just as an idea, maybe two 90 degree bends, one right after the pump where the soft pipe joins, and the second one , right at the end where the water comes out off.It would stop all kinking and hook well in the mouth of your tank.Also ,try welding a long enough arm with a knee joint on the ball valve of the tank.That way you could open and close the water coming out , while still seated or alone.Great wok take care.

just an idea dave. i thought you could mount the pump to the tanker, like a quick release mount so you can use it for other purposes if you need it, but have it mounted on there, a short hose going from the pump to the tank, pretty much attatched all the time, then a hose reel that you can just unroll when you need to fill the tank up. so its just a matter of driving to the dam, unroll the hose, start the pump, crack a beer, job done.

@ozzycarnut not a bad ideah, i worked in california on a 4000 gallon water truck that sprayed about 150 feet or so. The pump engine was a duetch diesel and sprayed great. I think dave would love to have spray capabilities!

The stove oil tanks are imperial gallons(Canadian Gallon) the 48 inch tanks are 200 imp gal the 60 inch tank is 250 imp gallon. So 200 gallons weighs 1997 pounds the weight of the tank is 290 pounds total weight 2287 pounds. Keep in mind you can blow the ends out of the stove oil tank if the water starts sloshing around there is no baffle in the tank. I had a 3000 gallon non baffled tank bow the end of the tank from it hitting the ends.

yeah start up that loader - I'd like to see that. Also you should mount up some power solenoids so you can open those valves from a control on the steering column - makes for easy operation. The alternator would be able to deliver the load no dramas. The other thing you should consider doing is building a "pumping station" (put the pump undercover and install a permanent hose with a coupler fitting - that'd be real pro!)

Folks have already pointed out about the valves, but one thing I noticed is when she's full, the rear arches seem very close to, if not touching, the rear tyres. They could do with a little adjustment me thinks.
