I too have done the reset on my 2011 ecoboost F150 while on the highway and get similar high "fantasy mileage" for a few minutes. It`s a fun thing to do, alas if only it were only true, but for those of you that still believe...I have this very nice bridge in Brooklyn that you can have cheap.
Looks about right, i was getting 24.2 MPG at 65 MPH with the MPG still steadily increasing the other day in my Ecoboost, and i had only been driving about 18 miles before i had to slow down, i have nothing bad to say about this video, it's legit, if he would have reset it while going downhill it would have been way higher but would have dropped back down very quickly, so even if he had reset it then this video would still be accurate. nice vid. nice truck. FORD FOREVER.
On the left hand side of the display it gives the INSTANT mpg in a green bar chart, it clearly shows 30mpg! The AVERAGE mpg is on the right hand in white text.
Not to rain on your parade, but.. you have over 3/4 tank full and DTE is 271, that means you reset just as you were going downhill, I have 3/4 of a tank on the money and still read 323 DTE and only getting about 18.. give or take. Thanks for the video.
@juanjo322 Never did I say this was my average MPG...with that said, I simply set my cruise control on "flat ground" and then reset the calculator. As for my DTE reading what you saw, it is due to the fact I have been doing city driving which will lower the measurements. I wouldn't post up a video if it were not true. Look at all my other videos, you will see that many people claimed my videos were fake. These are all raw, unedited videos.
@ashtrey05 No need to explain yourself to scepticals. they wont belive it even if you show them evidence. my 5.4 on flat ground has given me up to 25 mpg but there is still those that talk shit, so fuck it if they want to belive it good if not oh well
@ashtrey05 you are a liar. you intended for people to believe you get 30 mpg. You can take ANY vehicle down a grade, and with foot off the gas, you will get "99 mpg". You really need to think about what kind of person you are.
You're going to get a lot of negative comments by posting this. The MPG was slowly going down during the video too. Try driving 200 miles like this and see what you get. No way 30MPG with a 4x4. I've read about 4x2's getting 25 over many highway miles, but 30 c'mon
@454spyder view my video response I just posted...I drove easy for over 10 miles just to show what it can do. I did this on the flattest road there is around where I live. Naturally, there will be hills if I travel 200 miles so that means it would be less..I am just showing my commute route and the mileage I personally get where I drive. I never said everyone would get this mileage. There is another guy with many videos showing is good MPG.
I have one, and the only way you'll get 30 is on a downgrade with a tail wind. Realistically you'll get around 22, and that's only if you stay below 65 MPH. Still great in my book for what these trucks are able to do! And the ride is almost nicer than my 740iL BMW!

@mazdaspeed3jack it's tough to do. Max posted speed is 55 here, unless you are outside the city loop.

Just think what a little Ranger could get if they put the 3.7 in it...so many good ideas wasted by Ford...
yellowmusicfreak 9 months ago
@yellowmusicfreak this is the 3.5 ecoboost. the 3.7 could not get this kind of gas mileage

@yellowmusicfreak A ranger with an ecoboost engine. I thought of the same THING. Can you imagine????? even just a 4 cylinder... *drool*
