Saying that Elgar wouldn't compose a piece for the United States is absolutely propostorous and repugnant. You should not disrespect America, after all we have defeated England at war not once but twice, and we saved you from the Nazis. Don't disrespect my country. We never did anything to provoke this.
Please be aware that the "NAZIS" were a political party! Say like the Democratc in the US and incidentally widely supported by many big cheeses in America before WW II !!!!!!
Maravillosa composición musical, la que quiero escuchar cuando entre a la iglesia en nuestro casamiento.....el 1ro de mayo del 2010....Si Dios quiere....Emocionante escucharla!
I'm in grade 9, and I played this for the graduates at our school's commencement. Two more times, I'll play this with the band in honour of those who have gone before me, and then when I graduate I'll be able to march out to this beautiful song, which will be played at least partly in my honour. =]
@1TomatoJuice1 Awesome! Looks like the United States are not the only country where the 'Land of Hope and Glory' portion of Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 is played at the start of all the commencement ceremonies.
@dondonp12004 The United States is NOT the land of Hope and Glory. Elgar is an Englishman...I'm not sure he would compose a piece for a land made up of immigrants now. Would he?
