Here's an idea to help businesses hire more people; stop taxing them to death, stop making them pay their workers more than their worth, stop making them hire based on skin color and gender rather than skill and ablity, stop making them pay for unneeded luxuries like retirement and health care which are the responsiblity of the individual, stop opening them to lawsuits when some idiot hurts himself by misusing their product.
In other words, leave them the money to hire people.
it is also inconsistent to protest the loss of jobs now, and not campaign for more jobs in boom times. this seems to reflect more the sensitivity of students to harm they can see than a true effort for social, uh, justice(?)
i think the association of greed with job reductions in economic tough times is not well supported
it saddens me that people like Mr. Sola are hurt by the current economy.
but how are they gambling with his money? the real estate mkt has never faced such a decline in value and was thought to be a investment, values remaining flat to slightly up. it wasn't intended as a gamble, and wasn't his.

Poor anti-American propaganda. It's too bad this foreigner doesn't have the same disease.
GET THE HELL OUT OF THE U.S. YOU FOREIGN TERRORIST!
American Jobs are only for Americans!
How about the millions of Americans who who have the same problems as this foreigner garbage? Why don't you do their video instead of wasting precious time on this foreign garbage?
My husband and I were laid off the same day from 2 different companies. We are both over 40 and I noticed that of the 200 workers laid off in my building were over 40. Same with my husband. We are raising our grandchildren and do not have health insurance - Can't afford COBRA have to eat and sleep somewhere. My company made a huge profit + in the Fortune 500 - no top people were cut - I made less than 30 thousand a year. Thanks Cheney+ Bush for your greed.
how do you suppose that your Fortune 500 company was able to make a huge profit? by laying off the top people? what most people do not understand is that they lack the experience and expertise needed to accurately determine proper compensation for employees of respective firms. those who HAVE paid "higher ups" have every incentive NOT to overpay their employees relative to their competitors. suggesting that it would be wise to limit compensation of the "top people" is a recipe for failure.
Thank you for offering an alternative view of the Harvard community in this video. We are all part of the same community and we all need to pull together to get through this crisis.
Businesses do not provide job security,
Happy customers do.

healthcare=unneeded luxury? AIG & Lehman Brother bailouts=taxing to death? Genius!!!

Do you see affordable healthcare listed anywhere in the Bill of rights or the Constitution?
And where do you think the money to prop up failing businesses like AIG and LB came from? From taxing businesses that are actually competant.

After seeing this video, I felt compeled to write this article, which I believe sums up nicely what is happening to marginalised racial groups:

Look I'm glad this guy was able to support his family and give his daughter healthcare .
Am I allowed to ask , is he a citizen ,or is he here on a work visa ?
FlintfromOhio 2 years ago
Yeah, he was born in the good old USA and doesn't speak a word of English.
Figure it out.

Well that's what I'm asking isn't it .Even if you don't speak a word of English , it's possible to be here on a work visa isn't it ?
That's what I'm, asking , if he is here legally it's one thing . If he isn't an American should be doing his job .
