shit, i have the xlr8 pny nvidia 9800gt 1gb graphics card, and a new asus computer, but i dont remember the specs on the actuall computer, all i know is that once i put that graphics card in, every game turned to gold. starcraft 2 runs perfect on ultra, crysis is flawless on ultra, and my old games like doom 3 obviously run perfect. i love my computer now.

Can anyone explain why GTA 4 ran so badly on my PC? I think it's a good spec, it's higher than shown here in many ways but it ran so slowly it was unplayable, really sluggish and driving was terrible even on the lowest settings.

i had this cpu and let me tell you GET RID OF IT this cpu was the problem for all my lag 15-30 fps on a 9500gt. now i have a amd ii x2 545 and it runs on mid with 25-40 fps. getting rid of this cpu was the best thing i have ever done.

AMD Phenom X4 quads are the best processors out at a reasonable price so look in to getting one... and 2gb isnt enough for gta atleast 4 should be enough to handle any game at mid-high settings also you may want to over clock your graphics card the 9800gt is very flexable and easy to over clock... just buy a good cooler to cover the processor and the graphics card if u want to over clock gdlk

that doesnt tell us anything. We need to know your power supply wattage is and what pci slots you have on the motherboard. the 9800gt uses pci-e 2.0 x16 and will fit in pci-e x16 also

Why do people want a $500 or more video card? I mean ( correct me if I'm wrong) the human eye can only see 30 frames per second. So if fraps says 150 fps , your only seein 30 of those 150 fps. Just saying.
