An excellent piece of editing. Tom Cruise was very good in this film. So was Tim Robbins, playing the creepy guy in the cellar. Never let anybody say that good special effects are the most important thing in sci-fi. Good acting is essential too. Without good acting even the most expensive hi-tech movie will be a turkey.

This is a really cool movie, but I didn't get the ending they should've seriously made it better, although everything else was exceptionally good, and of course the girl that Dakotha Fanning played screamed... I've read the book "War of the Worlds" from George Herbert Wells....and I think that the movie had overcome the book....i saw a lot of common but Spielberg put something else in it....but I must say that the book is one of kind masterpiece cause Wells wrote it in 1898 and for that year it is truly ingenius sci-fi piece....and I must also say that thanks to Wells idea and Spielbergs great sense for breakthrough ideas I top this movie to one of my favorite movies i've ever seen.

Et surtout, excellent travail de montage. On dirait un vrai trailer en effet ! Qu'il est bon de ne pas voir les tripodes et de laisser l'imagination jouer ! C'est ce que je regrette dans les trailers actuels... Voir tout le film et perdre l'effet de surprise. Pourtant Jurassic Park ne montrait presque rien dans sa bande-annonce. C'en était tellement mieux.
