Many things go into winning the Cup. You take out once peice it shuffles the deck sometimes. If Crosby hadn't had 2 concussions and had gone into the playoffs or if Tim had been injured early it would probably have changed the whole playoffs.

Much of it is fate, chance.

Some other combination of teams would have been the final four and so on.

And probably another yeam would have won the Cup.

Seguin didn't win the cup sure he raised ..he just went along for the ride had hall went second he woulda hoisted it...can't say seguins better just cuz he was on the better team..and hopkins was a good pick for where they are moving yes d is important ..but they've been looking at that since last year...this wasn't ment to be a one or 2 year rebuild it will take time...but when its done..I won't even comment on that just can't wait for them to prove all the doubters wrong

im a bruins fan and in my opinion seguin is better but this is a wise thing by the oilers but needs a little more experience and its a oil change oilers aren't gunna make the playoffs in my opinion until the 2013-2014 season and i would have gotten adam larson not hopkins cause the oilers are never gunna make the playoffs with that defence worts defence in the NHL

@jaredhipfn We do have terrible defense, but I as far as I can see it has vastly improved. A healthy Whitney and Gilbert is a good paring. Smid is a decent bottom four as well as Barker if he can play to his potential. Peckham is a hardnosed, in your face type grinding d-man who will fit as a 3rd pairing guy. On top of that we have Teubert, Petry and Klefbom (Called the "Steal" of the 2011 Draft) waiting in the wings.

Our real problem is in Goal. Is Duby and Number 1? Can Khabi play well?

@MemoPortero You can't judge a player over who wins the Calder. Had Hall not gotten hurt, he would of put of 30 goals and definitely would have been a close candidate with Skinner.
