Not bad. But I think he may have missed a note their somewhere in the middle. I'm sure with a bit more practice he might eventually master it. Remember never give up. You can do it. Just keep on practicing big guy. Lol.

ok now how does one go about writing something like this? i would like to know what exactly goes through his head from scratch to write something like this from start to finish. I am bored of all the videos that go .. "ok folks here is you play this arpeggio or this scale". and how can i start playing in different time sigs like him?! i would love to know.
well he is playing in f# sharp natural minor. thats the key of this song. its really all creativity and how much theory you know, if you know a lot of theory then you can do more advanced composing techniques. As for the time signatures he just made the riff, you dont think oh i want it to be in 3/4 time sig. it really doesnt matter dude. Time signature is governed by the notes and timing not what notes are being played on the guitar.
@louisferens88 Try a modern type distortion, scoop your amp EQ, modest echo, moderate verb and if you are modeling or using a tube amp, use mid amount of gain.
Also this is done by Doug Marks an amazing shredder himself. They make instructional Vids. Batio is probably the best guitar player Ive ever seen play. The guys makes it look so easy.
@oilkills Shawn laqne is my favorite guitar player of all time. I wish Shawn were still alive. Whats amazing is most guitar players don't know who Shawn is or was. He was the most gifted guitar player ever. He was so fast clean and smooth. Songs like Get You Back and Not Again are just a number of amazing songs Shawn wrote and performed. I have a number of Lazae vids I have saved and i just watch in awe. I've been playing for 25 yrs and Lane was incredible!!
@ZZombyWooff - why? is it hard for you to believe that someone has actually spent A LOT of time to perfect his craft? Are you so jaded by today's crappy musicians you find it hard to fathom there are people that actually strive to be the best at what they do? Its easier for you to believe there must be some trick, something fake?
MAB was playing perfectly before you were born. Yes he is THAT good.
@ZZombyWooff He does live appearances all the time. He even has some great players that come to him for tips/ideas...I know Lynch mentioned in an interview that he had played with Michael and was amazed at his abilities. It's real, dude.
@aaadream Some might be for show (or "product placement") but the Marshall is mic'd obviously going to the PA and the Peavey beside is on (can see the LEDs). Not sure about the rest. --- They could have been onstage for others performers...
